No Soap w/ VGC Trash and Towel Service?

We received a trash and towel service at VGC. It's our first time at this resort. We did not get any soap and we needed bath soap. We were told that this resort did issue soap with a trash and towel service.

We got a bar of soap given to us 'free this time.'

Is this the norm for VGC? I'm curious.

I was there last week and didn't get soap either on T & T. They did replace the shampoos & other bottles. There was just 2 of us so we didn't need more soap.

I just got off the phone with Mousekerpimg and they consulted with their DCC expert who informed them that guests can have soap replenished during a trash and towel service, so I don't have guilt for requesting soap.

Well I hope other than the soap incident you are enjoying the start of your SW tour! Truthfully I've never stayed there long enough for T&T service.

We had the same problem in May - T&T day and we didn't get either soap or shampoo. DW called mousekeeping to tell them we didn't get replaced and they told her it would be a charge. She reinforced that is was our T&T day and that we should be getting the replacement at no cost. The CM on the line was like "Oh", and we got our replacements.

Seems to be a disconnect at the GC.

This is good to know. We check in on Wednesday, and we'll be prepared to get extras on T and T day if we need them - and we'll remind them that it should be no charge. We are planning to use what they give us in the room so we have less to pack. We'll need the replacements by the time Day 4 comes around.

We bring the whole house except for the shampoo & soap !

I read somewhere else that the VGC didn't put amenities in the second bathroom of a villa at check-in, and then wanted to charge $1 for them. I will be there next month and this will be something I will look out for. Wondering if I should bring my own soap and shampoo now...more to pack!

I bring all that if I am driving, but when we fly, we have to limit the luggage AND the liquids. I have to have my make-up, my contact solution, etc., so soap and shampoo get left out. Of course, I hear the products at VGC are fabulous, so that helps me justify it.

Always bring soap, shampoo, detergent and toilet paper!!!! Hide all of the above on T&T because mousekeeping tossed it once. LOL!!
BTW, we fly!!
