Hi everyone- since the ban of selfie sticks, are tripods ok?? I have a tripod that I am thinking of bringing (if they're still allowed, that is) that collapses down to about 2 feet in length and I think would fit into my backpack. Is this ok or should I leave it at home? Hoping to try to get some artistic shots while I'm down next week, and these shaky hands can't keep the camera steady for anything!

You should be fine. There is language saying no "large" tripods, but yours should be fine based on everything I have seen so far.

Great- mine fits (and my backpack isn't like overly large, just a normal school backpack.) Thanks everyone- you're all so speedy! :)

Just remember that the selfie sticks were primarily banned because people were taking them on attractions and then putting the sticks outside the ride vehicles. If arms and legs aren't allowed outside ride vehicles, why would the sticks?

Yeah, nobody's been setting up a tripod on a moving ride as far as I know, so there are no worries. Tripods are so different in use and so much less common, I doubt there will ever be a need for a full ban on them.

That's a good question. I never even thought about that. Glad that they are still allowed. I plan on getting some fireworks show and I need my tripod for those to come out spectacular.
