Our kids go all day Monday-Wednesday this week-a lot of schools are still in session. What stinks for the Eastcoasters is that they will probably have off tomorrow and have to go back for one day, then off for Christmas .

I would burst into tears! Seriously, I have 2 1/2 more days to clean up this house (just put up the decorations, grocery shop, buy a couple more gifts, START wrapping, and clean-clean (bathrooms, kitchen, floors...). Two and a half days all by myself... DH is taking the whole time off between Christmas and New Years. I love them dearly, but can't even imagine what this home is going to look like 2 weeks from now!

Our school system hasn't called it yet ! There's *no* way we can have school tomorrow, it'll take at least a day to dig out all the buses and shovel off all the sidewalks and clear all the parking lots.

I wish that they would AT LEAST call a two-hour delay, practically all the other local school systems have already called school for tomorrow and some have called it for the ENTIRE week!

I don't care, I'm telling DD she can sleep in. No WAY am I getting everyone up at 6am if we can at least sleep in until 8.

Yeah, our kids are still in school this week, though it seems to be mostly parties and stuff like that (even at the HS level).

Our schools are closed for tomorrow. We're supposed to be in session through Wednesday. It seems to make better economic sense to call the whole week (we have enough snow to justify it for sure) and not plow all the school lots and shovel all those sidewalks. I'm guessing we'll be out for the week.

I don't get to take snow days (work in healthcare) so hopefully the day care I use will be open.

Question for you, we have some friends heading your way on Christmas Day--will things be ok by then? They are flying into Regan and staying at the Embassy in Alexandria across from the Metro station. Does the metro shut down for weather like this? How about the museums, etc.?

We have a full day Monday and Tuesday and 1/2 day on Wednesday.

I just got a call that school is open on time. Yay I have too much to do to have them home tomorrow plus then we'd lose an extra day off for Memorial Day.
