It's actually one of the busiest "long weekends" they have of the year!

We were wondering this exact same thing. Even swan/dolphin are totally booked. Ugh.

That's the week that we normally go. Decided to move our trip to February this year. Near the end of the week (following Veteran's Day) things start to pick up in the parks and get really busy. As WEDWay People Mover said, there is a lot going on -- and a lot of people take advantage of it! Florida schools are generally closed on Veteran's Day (from what I hear) and a lot of locals take advantage of that to come to Disney. Makes for more people in the parks.

This has become a really busy week for the Disney resorts. I tried a reservation at DVC with some of my points in holding (you can only make reservations with those two months out) and am on the waiting list, they had no studios available at any DVC resort. I've had Pop Century since July but will cancel it if the DVC happens to come through.

As already posted:

and should it be said again, Veterans Day, Veterans Day, Veterans Day--a geat time to take a long weekend for all the above events ;)

Call me a pessimist, but I really think they might be not using blocks of buildings at each hotel. There is no way that that many rooms are used up with a few events and conferences during low season. JMHO....

November is no longer low/value season, it is now Regular season in 2005.....

I've been trying to find rooms for the end of nov/beginning of Dec, and I'm having trouble finding anything, too! I usually book my December rooms just a few weeks before I go, so it seems weird that there's nothing this far out!

REALLY? I didn't know that! I thought November was Value still?
So what are/were the Value seasons for 2005? - Is early December still Value?

Do these change year to year, will November be regular season in 2006 too?

October and November and now regular season. Regular season runs 10/5 - 11/26. Value season is 11/27 - 12/19.

For 2006, regualr season is 10/5 - 11/25, value seasons runs 11/26 - 12/19.

DH and I are going from Nov. 7-11...thought it would be not too crowded...maybe I should be more concerned? I was thinking we would do park hoppers - and 'visit' a park each morning and end with Epcot from afternoon on. Mostly we are supposed to be going for the F& W fest...but I don't know if I can go and not at least 'stop in' to each park! LOL!

I am so perplexed with why all the rooms seemed to be booked... I am going 10-3-8, 2005.. and everything seems to be booked... Yes F&W is beginning and yes MNSSH is starting... and yes free dining.. but how on this earth can the entire resort known as Disney be booked??????

October is also a big convention month. I am not sure of how manya re actually at WDW but there are a few. This tends to book up the hotels but the parks are not that crowded.

We are going October 15-22 and I admit, I am a little worred about crowds.

I think (if I read 10-3-8 right! :) ) you are hitting dates that are part of Columbus Day weekend. I went to Disney in 2003 the week before Columbus Day, and I could easily tell the increase in crowds on the Thursday before Columbus Day! I know many people who schedule trips around Columbus Day, so the kids don't miss as much school. October is a popular month! :)
