So we almost had to rebook our trip (long story) for the week of 11.26 and there were NO rooms? How is that possible during a time that is considered "slower". We just went that same week 2 years ago and crowds were relatively low. What gives? :)

There is no "slow" time at WDW any longer. Plus with all the renos, demolition and DVC conversions going on/completed there are about 1,500 less available rooms in inventory than last year.

Not to hijack your thread but my possible dates are right around that time as well, so I'm looking for this answer also. I have tried end of November and multiple dates/ amount of nights during the first week of December and there are literally no rooms available. Could that be possible that nothing is available at any of the resorts? I even have a pin code we'd like to use but I'm not sure if that inventory is different...anybody know what is going on? I know disney has gotten busier but sheesh lol

See above.

It's crazy! Oh well! We extended our July trip this year and I had no problem getting a room with a discount to extend it the following day. Crazy to think summer is a good time to go! o_O

This makes sense but it honestly baffles me that even still, not one single room is showing available online? I did a split stay test on the website and I did find rooms available, so how does one explain that? Just seems so strange to me that out of thousands of rooms nothing is showing up online. o_O

Rooms are like Tetris. Maybe one unit is available Monday and Tuesday, but that unit is not available Wednesday. But another is.

I am having the same problem with a stay the first week of November. I want to add a couple of nights to our upcoming Universal trip and have been checking almost everyday for months! I even called today and not a single room. If I drop the Saturday night a couple of DVC places show up and I did get a room at the Dolphin but now I am looking for a room for the Saturday night. Interestingly though ADR's don't seem that booked. I had the same problem with my son who is staying the first week of Dec. and he wanted to stay at the BWI to be in the same hotel as his cousin. After checking online for weeks several rooms popped up all at once and I got his room booked. Hoping for the same outcome for me!

Very true. Definitely makes it harder to plan though! Lol

Does anyone know the answer to my other question about pin codes? Do those rooms (like free dining) have a separate amount that is held for that type of thing?

Try booking for Mon, Nov 27 and forward. People might not be leaving until Monday after Thanksgiving.
