No rooms available?

I've been looking at prices for our trip next October and we were really hoping to stay at AoA. However when I look at the dates we were hoping to go, and also the week after it only gives me the option of a family room, no option of selecting a standard little mermaid room.

Surely all the standard rooms can't have been booked already for those two weeks? Or am I being incredibly naive? I know people book as early as possible but I didn't even consider that all rooms would be booked 14 months in advance.

EDITED : oh ... you meant october 2014 ? I thought I read "next" october, as in 2 months from now.

for 2014 Little mermain rooms do not seem to show up on many simulations. They might become available later. keep checking

They probably haven't released all their inventory yet. Keep checking the sites and you may see more availability as time goes on.

Actually, it's not only AoA. I've been doing a search for someone and there are no standard or garden view rooms at the mods for dates from mid to late June 2014 - only king beds which would not be suitable for a family, obviously! I haven't looked at values, but found it strange that ALL the mods were booked for then. I managed to get into the US website the other night and there were standard rooms available then. I wonder if Disney have release fewer rooms for the UK for this current promotion (the free dining one) ?? FWIW, I also phoned and got the same answer.

There was a thread running last night on the main Resort Board about a similar issue from the US with certain dates.

What you need to remember is that if even one night during your stay has no rooms of your desired category, it won't show up at all. The only way to find out which nights are fully booked is to try the 5 day bookings (minimum for a UK package) and move the dates for your quote forward one day at a time until you find where it is. Or you can go room only and try one day at a time to see. I did find with room only that it was showing up availability for a date selection that was not showing available as a package deal with tickets and dining, which is why I wondered if we got less rooms allocated to the FD offers this year. I'm really guessing here and don't have the answers but I have played around with it and that's what I have managed to find so far.
