No room for your dogs

Well, if I didn't bring my dog camping, I'd have to change my screenname....and I'm not doing that.

He loves to go camping with us. He told us so :)

We had my mom dog sit in the past for our week long treks....it's just so much easier when we can bring him along, and he enjoys the people watching. I know he's going to enjoy looping with us.

I guess we have no life, but I'll take it!

Since I received some flack (and some gentle criticism) over my less than jolliness recently, I could not respond to this right away. :headache: Now that I'm collected:

Get a Life people !! Can I see a show of hands of how many folks bring there pet Goldfish to Disney with them

So, to get this life you talk about, I should stop doing the things I like to do, the things that my wife and I closer, and create the most enjoyment for us and instead abide by some self-appointed authority on coolness as to how we ought to live? Does that about sum it up? :cool2:

I don't know you, but I'm sure you enjoy some things I think are lame, that I wouldn't do if you paid me. I like my life, and don't care a wit if you think it's a cool life or not. :cool1: We bought our motorhome so we could travel with our dogs, which are not an accessory to our life but a part of our family. And, as a matter of fact, we have traveled to Disney with two dogs, two parakeets, and a rabbit... gosh I wish I would have brought the fish too, just to really secure my place at the Dork-end of your scale! :upsidedow

:santa:

When we were at WDW last month, we didn't fit into the site they initially assigned us, which was in a pet loop as requested. They moved us to a site in a non-pet loop, but our dog didn't have to go to the kennel. Things seem pretty loose regarding the pet loops these days with the loop conversions going on - there seem to be pets in just about all the loops. I wouldn't worry about it. I did put my pup in the kennel during the day on 4 different days when we were at the parks. He was only 4 months old and I couldn't leave him in the camper all day. I thought the folks at the kennel were great, and my little guy ran in there eagerly each morning, so it couldn't have been too bad. This was the first time we took one of our dogs to Disney, and it was a great experience. Definitely life enhancing.

Oh, and there were folks down the road from us who had a pet bird with them. And it was outside and wasn't on a leash or in a cage. My kids were amazed that it didn't just fly away. I figured that bird probably lived the good life and would be nuts to fly away.

Glad it worked out all around and you all had a great time! :dogdance:
