Yep, it makes it hard for those of us with "real" computers.
I ended up buying it and then downloading it at a friend's house (PC user) and ran all my itineraries from there. Not super convenient, but it did the job.
"Hawleys" used RideMax on his MacBook, but it required buying software called VMware (Virtual Machine), which costs ~$80. He used VMware and Windows 7 ('release candidate' version).
... my experiment with running Ridemax with Windows 7 on a MacBook using VMware was successful. I used the Windows 7 release candidate (not Windows 7 Beta) and so far I have not encountered any problems. Feel free to PM if you want more information on how to do this.
Oh DM, perhaps you can understand what a mental hardship it's been with hubby working for m'soft the last two months.... But the jokes I get to throw at him are TOO fun!

I did this too...it was actually kind of good, because I would have spent literally days playing with the itineraries if it had worked on my own computer. Since it was on someone else's, I had to make my decisions and then live with them.

It was really easy to install VMware and useful for when you have applications that only run on PCs. I have a couple that I need for work so they covered the cost of VMware which was a nice bonus. PM if you want more info.
