No responses to Fireworks Cruise?

I'm a little curious--I've looked back through this thread and it seems like very few people respond to questions about the MK fireworks cruise.

Is this a case of 'if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything'? I have a hard time believing that the dis-ers on this board haven't done this cruise at one time or another...a little help on this will be greatly appreciated.

We're taking this cruise in two weeks and I'm hoping (as are others on the board) it will be worth the money, but we'll do it regardless. Apparently Wishes is only 15 minutes long and the cruise is $120. Hopefully I can remember to post our experience for those doing the cruise in the future.

Thanks everyone! We've found lots of good ideas here, and very enthusiastic people--which creates some delicious disney anticipation!

YES! This cruise is well worth the money! You get a lot more than just 15 minutes of fireworks, although as fabulous as the new Wishes Fireworks are, it may be worth it alone!
Remember, you get a hour of time on the water. Depending from where you depart, the pilot will cruise you around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon, you want Disney Trivia and Tidbits, well I am sure he/she will give you all you want.
You will be parked directly in front of Main Street USA with a clear, unobstructed view of Cinderella's Castle, and WOW, I can't imagine a better view of Wishes!
IF the fireworks are very close to the time of the Water Pageant, well you may get to see that from the boat too.
It is a very relaxing and beautiful night!

Rest assured, you will have a great time!

Thanks for all that information, Crazy. I've been going back and forth whether or not to book one of these for my daughter-in-laws first visit in February. Can you hear any of the narration for the fireworks? I would doubt they could pipe that to the boats like they do to the restaurants.

On a clear night, if the wind is just right you can pick up pieces of the narration. They do not have the music piped onto the boats.

Sorry, didn't see you posting earlier.

We did the MK fireworks cruise in July. ( ManyThanks to DisBug for letting us have their cruise when they could no longer go.) We had a great time! We left from the Poly. Our Captain, Amy, was a lot of fun! We had upgraded to a birthday cruise; and she was a good sport about wearing a party hat, too!

We didn't see Wishes; but, I think, according to some that they are even better than the Fantasy in Sky that we saw. You also see the water parade up close. That was pretty cool, too. Amy was great at telling us facts about the resorts, the parks, and all kinds of things. The ride was very enjoyable. You are far enough away that you don't have to worry about ash and smoke. I hear that can be a problem with Illuminations. Will find out about that in December. Forgot to mention the view of the Castle is great, too!

When our balloons blew off the boat Amy delivered some to our room. We weren't staying at the Poly; so she really went out of her way.

This is a nice way to see the fireworks without battling the crowds for a spot to watch or fighting your way out of the park.

I can only tell you about the experience we had. I know there are some out there that they don't care for the cruises whether it was MK or even Illuminations. The cruise was one of the highlights of our trip! Enjoy it!

Great information...and reassurance. It's definitely a 'go', and we're counting down!
