No PS for Christmas morning

I never tried to make one. Do you think we'll have a problem finding someplace to eat, or will it be okay? We are staying at Beach Club and are eating at Cape May some of the other mornings. I thought if all else fails we can get something at the Boardwalk Bakery, or even at the store the day before and just eat in the room.

Are breakfast buffets more on holidays? Like if we did happen to eat at Boma or Cape May for breakfast, would it be more that day?

Hmmm, I think you may have a problem getting in as a "Walk-In" guest. But, it's worth a try, just remember, it's not the seatings staff's fault if they can't get you in.

Suggestions? Call WDW-DINE and have them search if anything is available. And keep trying, there are always cancellations that open up.

Or, how about walking over to France and getting a selection from the Bakery there?

Are the buffets more? I am not sure, I know that some resturants have a "Special" holiday menu in order to improve Check Times (by controlling the number of available items), and they usually have a "Fixed" price. But this is usually done for dinner, and usually not buffets.

You can always grab something for breakfast at one of the parks (unless you really had your heart set on a buffet or sit down) if you are going to the park that day.

MK - Main Street Bakery - Good bear claws and french toast stack.

EPCOT - Electric Umbrella - Good bacon and egg bagel sandwiches, cereal, etc.

MGM - Starring Rols and The Commissary

AK - Not sure there, but we once had great cinnamon rolls at Tusker House.

Also, you could take a bus to one of the parks and hop to a moderate/value and eat at a food court. We always do Coronado Springs Pepper Market for breakfast at least once, even though I have never stayed there. I can get eggs made to order there, Mickey waffles, etc.

Just to add - DH had a ham-and-cheese croissant at Sleepy Hollow for breakfast and loved it! They also offer a spinach-and-feta croissant -- I would've gotten it but I was full from our other breakfast!

Well, the way it turned out we decided to just sleep in Christmas morning. We had been drenched the night before when waiting for the Candlelight Processional that was cancelled due to the weather. We had the CP package so were first in line and under the covered part, but once they cancelled it we ran back to the Beach Club in the rain. So we decided we'd sleep in and we ate fast food at one of the parks.

But really, I think we would have been able to eat at Cape May for breakfast without PS. We never had a problem just putting our name in there the entire week - never had to wait for more than 15 minutes, usually only 5. Same with Boma. Got right in when we went for breakfast. For dinner we had PS but wanted to go about two hours earlier. We did and put our name in and waited only about 15 minutes. And this was Christmas Day about 6:00 p.m. when you would think it would be really busy and impossible to get in early. Not so.

I think maybe the parks would be different as far as needing PS, but we got in easily at all the resorts and this is supposed to be the busiest week of the year (we were there Dec 22-27th)??? If I ever go again I don't think I will make PS at all, unless it is something really special that we are counting on.

We had many ps the week of 12/19-12/26 but we got in a couple of popular places without PS with little hassle. I was surprised. Perd we waited at least 20 minutes at Boma on 12/23(with PS!)

Micca, I guess we just got lucky! We never had to wait long at all. We also had many PS, but we MISSED most of them. I don't think we are the kind of family that should plan on being a certain place at a certain time! We don't like to plan around where we have to be for dinner at 6:00 p.m...
