First, let me start by saying that I love love love my son like crazy and would not trade him for all the Barbie dolls and Princess dresses in the world.
In fact, when I first found out I was pregnant I was hoping for a son. But...
...as much joy as he brings into my life I sometimes feel a little sad that I will never get to take my child to BBB, pick out frilly outfits for the holidays, or have a chance to relive my own childhood with barbies and doll houses.
My husband on the other hand is LOVING this Christmas. He now has an excuse to buy every cool action figure, race car and Star Wars video game he ever coveted as a child but never got.
Our ds will our be our only child and he is my greatest blessing. But I was just wondering if any of you other moms of "boys only" can't help but feel a little sad when you see a beautiful Princess dress and a pair of glass slippers.

she loves both of my children - has a soft spot for my dd because she is also her goddaughter - but ultimately is thrilled to have 2 boys! she thinks that they are so fun with all that they do and how they think, she loves all the crazy sports schedules, etc... and honestly, as much as she loves my dd, she can't stand some of the girly things she does - including whining (she swears boys just don't whine like girls do), the prissy can't get messy factor (eewww.. yuck! she says...) etc. she swears she wouldn't have another even if she were guaranteed a girl - she is happy with her boys..
What a way to enjoy his life!
