I'm looking for ways to avoid the potatoes or rice that seem to come with every meal. Is it going to be easy to substitute extra vegetables without having an allergy listed on the reservation? Right now we have reservations at 50's Prime Time, Les Chefs de France and room service :rotfl:

Also, I avoid eating bread products as much as possible, so I'm looking for other stuff besides cereal, waffles and / or pancakes for breakfast. Normally I eat a yogurt and some fruit. What kind of yogurt is available now at the counter service places?

For Counter service CHH has changed their menu they now have a grilled Salmon entree that you could probably sub one of the sides for fruit and get the steamed veggies and you can get a Strawberry yogurt cup as your dessert and save it for breakfast. We have never had a problem at CHH making changes like getting grapes instead of fries and stuff. I think for the Table service you will be good. I know when we went to 50's they let you change sides. Can't help you with chefs sorry

I've found that anywhere I ask, they are happy to sub one side for another as long as it's in the same price range. So yes, it is an easy thing to change.

For example, at 50's PTC, I subbed green beans for collard greens. So I'm sure you could sub an extra veggie instead of mashed potatoes or whatever.

The yogurt at the resort food courts was a big name brand - Yoplait or Dannon I think.

I have been able to sub for veggies at any TS I've been to. I've never tried at CS, so I'm not sure.

Be sure to put on your reservation that you are on a low carb diet~usually that will do the trick. WDW accommodates diets as well as allergies. I put this on my reservation at Teppan Edo and the manager came out and chatted with me for a few minutes to get an idea of my needs. I subbed my rice for extra veggies. I also requested lower salt and they skipped the soy sauce for me. Food still came out great! Dessert of course was harder to accommodate, but many places do offer a no sugar added option.

That is a great idea. I hated the idea of putting an allergy down since I'm not allergic to any of the foods, just trying to avoid them because of the diet my doctor has me on.

Does anyone know what vegetables 50s has, other than the green beans?

I often substitute sides and Disney is very good about it.

My normal breakfast at Disney is a bagel, coffee, and yogurt parfait and I usually get it at the Boardwalk Bakery.
