no Pommes Frites at cafe orleans?

looks like the latest menu on DL's website for cafe orleans does not have Pomme Frites. is this really true? say it isn't so!

It was true as of Sunday. We got them with our Monte Crisco but they weren’t available separate. And the Monte Crisco is half the old size. Which is fine but I’m glad I didn’t tell my DH we could share. I’m more annoyed they don’t have beignets.

Yes and No. They're not available to be ordered separately but they come with the Monte Crisco now. Also beware the new Cafe Orleans Monte Crisco is half/smaller portions.

I just have to jump on to say that I cracked up to see both the above replies refer to the Monte Cristo as a Monte Crisco. I mean, it's kind of appropriate and we used to refer to it that way jokingly.

Well, in that case it works out! I’m doing my first solo trip ever and normally share the monte cristo with dd1. So the portions will work out in my favor.

I am also sad to hear about no beignets though! Can I do a take out order from Ralph Brennan’s?

Yup!

They do have Mickey beignets at Mint Julep Bar, just not at Cafe Orleans.

My work around for that is to pick up Mickey shaped beignets from the Mint Julep Bar before our Cafe Orleans reservations. That way we can eat them after we finish off the Monte Cristo sandwiches.
