No Pirate night?

My niece is booked for the March MDAS cruise for their first Disney cruise. She was told by someone in their FB group that there is no pirate night. I’ve never heard of any cruise not having pirate night unless it’s due to weather.

She is considering changing dates but I’m wondering, do all MDAS cruises have no pirate night?

My previous Marvel cruise had a Pirate night. It wasn’t the full deck party but still the pirate menu and the characters in their costumes.

So this could change at any time obviously but our experience with MDAS (Jan 2020) was that we had a partial pirate night. We didn't get the menu but we had activities (game shows, trivia etc), kids makeovers in bippity boppity botique, the kids deck show and the evening deck show including fireworks. We also didn't get the buffet.
I don't know if that has changed. I will say the MDAS deck show/fireworks is incredible, better than anything else I've seen on Disney. So if they have changed it and don't do pirate night fireworks now on MDAS sailings I think the Marvel show would be an upgrade personally. However I'd hope they still do both like we had. Losing out on the pirate menu isn't a big deal.

We're doing B2B MDAS cruises in January/February and were told by shoreside concierge that there will be no pirate night on either sailing. 😕

Did you ask them to clarify as technically there is no pirate night currently on any of the cruises I believe its buccaneer takeover or whatever its called.

We just had Pirates night on the Wish. The servers don’t wear the normal pirate attire anymore just a pin on their vest.

Pirates Rocking Parley . It was 80 music played a dj than a band came out with Jack Sparrow joining at end and than fireworks.

Pirate night is different on the Wish. The other four ships still have costumed staff and bandanas and all that.

Pirates Rocking Parley .

Which is my point its not Pirate night and if you ask shoreside they are unlikely to say its Pirate Night saying instead they no longer do it. At least that was what I saw them respond with for the Fantasy.

So you would need to asking more specifically is there any pirate based events still going on at some point during the cruise. Example they might not do the deckshow but can confirm if the dining room will do something instead by themselves.
