No Pin--No Code per CM

I just tried to use the infamous "code" and was told by the cast member that it is attached to a pin I am not eligible. I was trying to book 20-24 Sept at GF.... oh well I will keep waiting.

Keep trying. It took me a month to finally get the "code" applied. I was asked for a PIN and told the CM that I didn't have one and he went ahead and applied the discount. I called back today and upgraded to POLY w/ no problem. We even added the dining plan. Good luck.

When I called the very nice CM looked in her system at a few different codes and found the one that would save me the most. I had no idea what the code even was until I got my confirmation letter and the code was on it. I was not calling to ask her to apply and specific code to my ressie just asked if there were any discounts available for my travel dates. However it was far before so much hype about it had been posted on this board.

I do not have a PIN. Most that got the 40% off did not have a PIN. The CM checked for me and said I did not have a PIN. The ones that got it, myself included, just got lucky.

Did you call recently?

I know that many people got lucky that didn't have pins and got the discount. After all the screwups though, Disney "supposedly" was putting an absolute stop to discounts for the "code" without pins.

Then again, in all honesty, I'm sure Disney is just telling this to poor saps like myself who they wouldn't give the discount to just to shut us up.

I'm happy for you (and everyone else that got this), but sickly disgusted at the Disney "manager" I spoke with who informed me otherwise.

Not because I think you shouldn't have gotten the discount, but that I didn't get it.

Thanks. And I know where your coming from. I would continue to try. The code I used began w/ a B. Have you tried that one?

We didn't have a pin attatched to our name either. Well, actually we did BUT it was for travel in March I believe. The CM looked for the 40% off code then gave it to us. Ours began with a "B" too.

Well I know we didn't have the code when I booked because we have never stayed onsite before and only been to WDW once before. I told her this too.

Thankfully we were able to use the code which is why we were able to change from DL to WDW.

Never hurts to try! I will keep waiting to see if AP discount comes available.

I tried to book with a z code, and no pin, and I said this straight out, I was put on hold, twice, and then she checked my dates for the end of Sept, and quoted me....

the same price I was quoted online!!

Never say never!!

There are no GENERAL public codes out for that time period. So the CM wasn't lying in that aspect.

The 40% off is definitely NOT a general public code.. if it were, it would have been posted in all the usual places... this despite the fact that a number of people who apparently didn't have a code were able to book with it...

WELL I finally hit the jackpot!! I had an idea to have my mom call and see if she had a pin code attached to her name (she is going with us in Sept) and sure enough she had one! She booked us at GF 20-24 Sept 40% off!! Its a magical day
