Not sure if this has been answered before but I could not find it...

We do not have park hopper tickets for our upcoming Disney trip as it came down to a budget decision for us between park hoppers and the MYW Plus package with the water parks..

I know you can only visit one of the four major theme parks per day without hoppers but if we have one day where we do not visit a theme park at all does that mean we have an "extra" theme park admission and can visit two in one day?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can do that, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, you could do this. However, that would be using 2 days on your pass.

I 'thought' Disney's system wouldn't allow multiple day tickets to be scanned for more than one park each day or am I not understanding (quite possible) what the original question is?

If you don't have the park hopping option on your ticket, you can't park hop. The admission computers aren't designed to pull more than one day off of your ticket in a 24 hour period.

No, you can't do this. The ticket will not take 2 days off your ticket-it won't let you into the second park at all.

Why would anyone buy park hoppers if you could do this?

ETA: This information is from the allears faq section:

Am I allowed to use two days off of my MYW Base ticket (non-hopping) if I decide I want to go to a second park on the same day as the first?

No you are not. The tickets are sold and the computer system is based on the number of days you have, not the number of park visits. Once you have used a non-park hopping ticket at any park, the computer system will not let you use it at another park on the same day

Since you stated that your tickets do not have park hopper option at all, I wonder what kind of tickets you have and for how many days?

In your case, your ticket might be the one park=one day tickets. So if you plan to go to 2 different park(i.e. MK in the morning; Epcot in the PM) you are using 2 tickets in that day then?????? I doubt it. So plan accordingly. I understand that the basic MYW tickets are good for 14-days after the 1st use.

We have the premium MYW tickets for the upcoming trip. Knowing that we could easily do 2 parks in a day, we would have alot the used tickets for our next WDW vacations. :thumbsup2 It works out cheaper that way if you plan on returning in the future(let's say 1, 2, or 10 yrs :cheer2: )

Folks without park hopping on their passes will be denied admission to the second park they try to visit during a day; they won't be able to elect to use a second day's worth of admission for the additional entry. If each guest in your party has two completely separate admission passes (which has been happening a bit more often, now, with folks buying single-day admission to qualify for the Dining Plan), then you could use the two different passes to gain entry to the second park on the same day, but financially, you'd still be better off paying for park hopping and using the single-day admission on another day.

Thanks for the great responses..

We actually have 9 days of MYW Base Tickets w/ Water Park fun and more option.

We are not really park hoppers and visit only one park a day. We like the water parks, Disney quest and Pleasure Island so it was a no-brainer for us. I was just curious if we had that option available if we wanted it. Now I know..thanks!
