No park hopper...can you add an extra day instead?

I have been to Disney twice and both trip I purchased the hopper and never used it. My plan was to go to parks for rope drop and break after lunch and do a different park in the afternoon. Turns out my daughter didn't want to leave nor did the others who were along on the trip. We didn't leave the park until about 3 or later in the day and by the time we got back to the resort we were too tired so opted to swim and hang out instead so I won't be getting the park hoppers again.

If we do decide to hop I doubt that it'll be everyday. Would it be cheaper and possible to just add another day on our park tickets instead of hopping?

No. Disney's one step ahead of you on this. Attempts to use a second day from the same ticket will be denied.

You would either need the park hopper option or two physically separate tickets. You can't use 2 days off a multi-day ticket on the same business day to enter 2 different parks.

Of course you can add any number of extra days you want. Can you use those extra days to go to another park on the same day?? NO you cannot. Your ticket will know you've already been to another park and it won't let you in.

You can add the hopper at any time during your trip, but it will cost the same as it would at the beginning of the trip, so even if you decide to hop on your last day, it won't be any cheaper.

Cheaper: yes. Possible: no.

Thanks for your responses. I didn't think so, but wondered since i've never used the park hopper in the past when purchased and don't plan to get them when we return.

You can always add the hopper option if you need it, even day-of. However, the cost is the same as if you bought it for your entire trip.
