For four out of our 14 vacation days next August, we won't be going to the parks. I'm wondering, what are some of the things you all like to do on your no-park days? We want to use them primarily to relax (and prevent/pamper blistered toes), but don't want to necessarily spend it all at the pool, since we'll be using the pool every day during our mid-day breaks anyway. TIA! :flower1:

We like to visit the various resorts. Monorail around to the Contemporary, Poly and GF just to see them and do a bit of shopping. Perhaps have a snack or beverage at one of them. Take the boat from the MK or Contemporary to WL and look around the lobby there. Also, wander around the Epcot resorts.

We have a half day when we go, and were planning to just hit Downtown Disney and wander around. We'll probably swim or play mini golf, too. I say just wing it? It's Disney, there's something to do no matter where you go.

I'm guessing this trip includes everyone in your signature yes?

My usual non-park day would include:

-Sleeping in! (make sure to put that do not disturb sign on the door)
-If you feel like swimming, do that for a bit,
-Relax, watch some TV
-Head to DTD for some shopping, maybe even a movie? I know it can sound weird, but it's a way to put your feet up but still be in Disney, and I really love the dine in theater!
-Monorail resort tour! Take the bus to mk, hop on the monorail & explore. You can grab a snack or bite at each hotel to share/sample it all, adults could grab a drink depending on time.
-If you're more adventurous, explore DAK Lodge, look at the animals, grab some African inspired food there!
-Wander the Boardwalk area/resorts, relax on the Yacht Club beach, grab some to go ice cream from Beaches & Cream, some pizza from the window on the BW
-Fort Wilderness has A TON of things to do for a little bit of money, you can trail ride, wagon ride, explore the stables, rent a boat (this can also be done from other lakeside resorts), Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Hoop
-Hoop Dee Doo or Spirit of Aloha is a great option for the late afternoon/evening as well!

We rent a boat, play mini golf, go to Disney Springs to browse, get lunch or dinner at another resort, watch a movie by the pool/beach

I agree- resort hopping!!! We like to visit all of the resorts on the monorail loop, then catch boats and buses from there and kind of wing it and see where we end up. Between the different lobbies, shopping, and food in all the resorts, this is actually such a fun and laid back way to spend a day!

There's also Disney Springs and DisneyQuest, which is another great use for a day.

Have fun- 14 day trips are the best!

Take in a dinner show like Hoop Dee Doo Revue!
Kelly Springs Park is supposed to be really nice and you can go tubing down the stream and swim
Airboat Tour
Rent a boat at the Contemporary for an afternoon
Visit a beach
Go to Old Town, Kissimmee and have your portraits done at the studio there, so fun!
Helicopter Tour

Depends on the budget. Onsite I like fishing excursions, Cirque, HDDR, AKL night vision. Offsite, we like go karting, Airboat rides in the Everglades, and the Orlando Science Center. I still want to try the indoor Skydiving.

Waterparks perhaps? Or in the evening hitting up the Boardwalk for some of the entertainers and then watching Illuminations from the bridge. Oooh maybe reservations at Cali grill and watching Wishes? So many fun options :)

Last trip we did one commando hopper day, one party, and one water park day. We lounged around the pool, walked around Disney Springs, visited Top of the World Lounge and Trader Sams, and relaxed the other four days. It was just DH and me and we go once or twice a year. I love non park days as much as park days.

We do go to a park every day, but not all day. We like to shop/dine at Disney Springs, visit resorts to explore, shop, drink or dine, play mini-golf, have a spa treatment (well, me) and sometimes catch a movie. There are so many things to do right on property.

My sister and I spent one such day going to Kennedy Space Center and had a fantastic tour there! Would do again in a heart beat!!
This times 1k. Take the special tour that allows you to see more stuff than the free one, costs extra but well worth it. Been a while since i did it so check up on it.

We will be there in August for 10 days and we are adding the WP with our PH this year. This way on our off days we can head to the WP. We aren't the WP all day kind of family so for us a few hours will be just enough. We also plan to explore WL and the monorail resorts. We want to catch the fireworks and the electric water parade from one of the hotels as well. All things we don't usually do because we spend so much time in the parks. We are also going to try to catch a movie and maybe bowling at DS.

The eat-in movie theater is fun (make sure to make a reservation so you get a seat, otherwise you may not), bowling (again, it's DTD so depending on the time, make a reservation), walk around DTD, visit some resorts, mini golf, regular golf.

Rent a boat, rent a golf cart at FW, hay ride at FW, campfire at FW or movies under the stars at resorts. Some resorts offer tours, I think-- do some research to find days and times.

I like mini golf at fantasia gardens or real golf at Lake Buena Vista. My fiance and I also love downtown disney, the board walk and just lounging by the pools

We usually go to water parks and Disney Springs on our non park days. I love to take the boat between Disney Springs and POR resort. They also have carriage rides at the resort.
