No Osborne Lights?

Was I hallucinating, or did I just read in the Mickey Monitor that there will be no Osborne Lights this year?

to my knowledge gail, there are no lights this year. i think it has something to do with residential street...they're tearing it out to make room for some stunt show or something. at least that's what i heard...

i also heard that the lights will be back next year though...thank goodness!! cuz that's when i'm going!!

I emailed WDW a while back and they said no Osborne Lights this year because of construction for stunt show. Then they said you can not please evryone. That mad me very angry because over 90% of the folks who see Osbornes likes or loves it. They need to watch how they say things.

I also emailed them about the Osbourne Lights. I got a very nice phone call a few days later explaining about the construction (which I already knew about), and apologizing profusely for the impact this would have on my vacation. I know that not all CM's are this courteous, but I was very pleased with the response. Now I'll have force myself to go back again next December so that my granddaughter will have a chance to see the Osbourne Lights!

Disney knew that this was the first (and probably last) year that I would be at Disney for the holidays

I feel your pain! I would NEVER have booked a vacation for December if not for the decorations. I cannot believe my luck. I really wish they had given further notice, like this could have been the last year. And now I read that Disney is expecting their biggest crowds, over the holidays, in 5 years!!! What was I thinking? Oh well, it all just helped me make the decision to book Discovery Cove!

Just remember, there are SOOOOOO many decorations at WDW, other than the Osbornes. This year will be my 5th year in Dec and it is just wonderous at that time of the year. You'll love it. Two years I never made it to the Osbornes, and never really missed them. Granted, they were a sight to see, and should be back next year, on the New York Street, bigger than ever. Enjoy.
