11/13 Tuesday, Part 3 (More New Fantasyland stuff!)

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't updated in forever, things have been crazy, but I can finally do an update at least!

When we left off, Brandon and I had just finished eating at Be Our Guest, and I was anxious to get to the Little Mermaid ride! So we walked down there, and I was just amazed at how beautiful Prince Eric's Castle was!





I mean, seriously, the details!! It was once again, like being in the movie!

We got in line, and I was amazed by the queue area! It was long and winding, but so pretty and well themed!





There is a part of the queue where Scuttle talks to you, and it's so cool, he seems real!



Finally we got to the part where we could see the shells that you ride!



Yeah, they do look similar to the ones that they have in the Nemo ride in Epcot, and I suppose they could have used a different design, but I don't really care, I think they fit the whole theme of the ride really well, so the shells don't bother me!

I think we waited about 20 minute before we got into our shell! Scuttle narrates for you, and then you turn around in your shell and your whisked under the sea! When you first go under the sea, it's so cool because you're surrounded by bubbles!

Then you see Ariel, singing Part of Your World, which is awesome!



Then there is my favorite part, Under the Sea, with Sebastian and all the sea creatures singing and dancing! I didn't get any good pictures of it really, but maybe that's good, so you can see it for yourself, if you haven't already! Here's one that came out ok:



You then see Ursula, who is HUGE, and she sings Poor Unfortunate Souls, which again, is awesome! All of my pictures are blurry of course, so I'll spare you, but it's cool seeing her "in person!"

Then another favorite part, I love this part in the movie and the ride, Kiss the Girl!!



Then at last, you come to the end, where Eric and Ariel are married, which is adorable!



I loved this ride, I thought they did a great job with it! I remember people complaining about it, but really, I think it's beautifully done! I love seeing a movie that I've seen a million times come to life and I get to feel like I'm actually in it! They accomplished that with Be Our Guest, and they did it again with the Little Mermaid ride!



When we were finished, we still had a few more things to look at in New Fantasyland!

I loved this Popping Machine that Maurice invented, so cute!

Kiss the Girl continued

We had to check out Gaston's Tavern, even though we weren't really hungry, we had to get some Le Fou's brew of course!



We went in and Brandon went to get our drink while I got a table. It was surprisingly empty in there! I got a table right in front of the fireplace, and I'm SO annoyed this picture came out so blurry:



Brandon came over and sat down, and I noticed he got me a Belle souvenir cup! It's cute, but I don't think I'd be paying $10 for one again! Although I guess it would be nice to have the Gaston cup also!



I tasted the brew and it was really good! It's apple flavored with marshmallow, which is interesting! I love the drink, but I don't really like the foam on top, so I didn't bother drinking that. The actual drink is really good though, I wouldn't mind another one right about now!



Brandon had to get a picture in Gaston's chair, of course!



I LOVE how there are antlers everywhere, because of the song! Perfect, I just love the attention to detail!

When we finished, we had to check out one more place, Village Gifts!



It's absolutely adorable in there, there are so many Belle themed things I wanted to take home! Belle is my favorite princess, so I felt right at home in there!





I wanted to get a glass or something, but I figured I'd wait until the Christmas party in 2 days and decide then, there were just so many things I liked in there, I couldn't make up my mind!

Finally, we figured we should be getting back to the Poly to get our car and head back to POR! I took one last picture of New Fantasyland



and then made our way out of the Magic Kingdom.



Brandon didn't want to take the monorail back to the Poly for some reason, he wanted to take the boat, so we went down to the dock and waited. It took forever for a boat to come, but finally, we were back at the Poly!



It's just so pretty there, I can't resist taking pictures, even just walking through to get to the parking lot!







Someday I'll stay there! Hopefully in 2 years, when it's our 5 year anniversary!

We found our car, and drove back to POR and tried to rest a little. I was tired because it was really hot and humid that day, but I couldn't rest for long because we had laundry to do and laundry in Disney always takes forever! Brandon didn't want to do his, but there was no way I was going there alone, so I dragged him with me! Luckily our building was close to the laundry area, which is right by the pool, so we didn't have a far walk. I was tempted to sit by the pool and stick my feet in, since there were only a couple people there, but I was afraid I'd get soaked somehow, so I didn't bother. The pool looked so inviting though, after such a hot day in the park. I really need to start spending more time in Disney pools!

SUPER jealous! Can't believe you got to eat at BOG!! That's AWESOME! I honestly haven't seen ANY pictures from there yet, so it was cool to see inside.

I've only read 1 TR where the person didn't like the Under the Sea ride... but they didn't get to go in BOG.
Also, I thought BOG was a formal, sit down restaurant- more like Le Celier.
So, good to know.

Great New Fantasyland updates!

You know from my update that I loved the Little Mermaid ride and I also don't care that they used the same ride vehicles. I mean really, some people are going to complain because of that?! I don't get it.

haha, I got that Belle cup too for my Lefou's Brew! For the first time I felt I had to, kind of like when my sisters and I went to Universal and got our Butterbeer! But yeah, I most likely won't get the souvenir cup again.

Nope - haven't eaten at BOG yet. It wasn't open AT ALL when Cynthia and I were there. When I see how hard it is to get a reservation there I am so thankful I snagged one for June 9th! Woo hoo !

Love the update. I loved the Little Mermaid ride. It is just perfect. Can't wait to go back even though I know Denny could care less about the little mermaid.

SO SO fun that you got to explore New Fantasyland!! I felt the same the first time we ate at Be Our Guest - I was so excited, and it was so beautiful - I didn't care how the food tasted! And it was pretty good! I haven't tried LeFou's Brew yet, but it's definitely on my list for next time!

We had fast passes for Ariel, so we didn't see the normal queue line. It's ADORABLE though! I love it!!!!!!

Gastons is perfectly themed! I could go for a LeFou's brew right now to!
Belle is my favorite princess to! We didn't get a chance to go in the shop though! Need to do that next time!!!!

I LOVE NFL!!!! It's perfect and lovely!!!!

I am SO excited about the Little Mermaid queue and Eric's Castle! Probably more than anything else in the FLE. Seriously, that sounds like SUCH a fun morning!! I love the photo of Brandon channeling Gaston.

I'm so excited to see New Fantasyland! I keep hoping that the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is operational when we get there but it's not supposed to be until 2014 so I won't hold my breath!

I am the same way with The Poly...I always take a million pictures just walking through. People are always like "OMG you stayed there?!" and I have to be like "no, I just went there for breakfast...." Someday!!!

I liked that it was advertising the Osborne Lights, which was what we were there to see that night! I LOVE the Osborne Lights, and even though we saw them the night they started, that was only for a few minutes and it was so crowded you could barely walk around. I was hoping to spend lots of time there tonight!

Well, my husband and I!! haha I was wondering when I started reading your TR (which I love by the way) if my hubby and I would have been at any parks the same day, thinking it would be hilarious if we ended up in your photos AND WE DID!! I know, it was crazy, I could not believe we got to eat there! I thought maybe we'd get to go in and look around, but actually eating there was awesome!

I loved the Ariel ride! I remember when they did previews in October, a lot of people complained about it, that it was too short. I thought it was fantastic!

BOG is formal for dinner, a nice sit down restaurant, but for lunch it's table service! It's so cool that it can be both!

OMG pretty much the only reason I want to go to Universal is to try Butterbeer! I really have no interest in Harry Potter other than that, it just sounds SO good!

Yay I'm so glad you got a BOG reservation! I'm not sure I'm going to bother for my next trip, since I've already eaten there and there are tons of other places I'd rather go, but I might try to get in for lunch!

It really is! I love it so much! Haha, November will be here before you know it, don't worry! I'm a pro when it comes to waiting for November trips, that's my month lol!

It's funny, when I was 6 and we went to Disney World, my favorite part was swimming and going down the slide at Caribbean Beach Resort, hahaha. Forget the parks, my 6 year old self wanted to swim!

I think I want to stay at the Poly one day. Like, if they open up a DVC there, I'd totally book a few nights there just to see what it's like! It's so pricey but so beautiful... I love visiting it every trip!

I know, wasn't Ursula awesome? I was amazed at how big she was too! The whole ride is amazing, I could go on it over and over if they'd let me!
