"No One's Gloomy or Complaining"-in DISNEY WORLD!~An 11/12 TR!-*NEW TR Link pg 56!!!*

YUM! Tonga toast! I've been craving that ever since September!
DH had the Kona coffee and thought it just tasted like coffee too. I don't drink it so I didn't get an opinion. :D
I think it's great that you spontaneously hopped on the monorail to MK!
I bought the same Minnie ears last year!

Spontaneous days turn out awesome :)

Aww your fancy minnie ears are so cute! I've yet to get any... maybe next time *** those are pretty sweet ones!

Ry loves the circus/dumbo area :) dunno is one of his absolute must dos!!!

Aaahh I'm excited to hear what happens next!!!!!

Great update! TONGA TOAST. Yum. And those spontaneous visits to the parks, where there's nothing to rush to or worry about, are the best. :goodvibes Love those Minnie Mouse ears too!! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you have never been on Jungle Cruise!! I like it...my DH, not so much...LOL

hurry up and get the next post up!! You left us with a cliffhanger...:faint:

You are so hard on yourself. Your pics look great! I love those fancy Minnie ears! When I first saw them, with the feathers, I wasn't so sure, but I quickly grew to love them.

I love Jungle Cruise. The skipper can kind of make or break the ride though. It makes it so much better when they are good at delivering those corny jokes. :)

Yay for Tonga Toast!!! The bananas are actually my favorite part! :rotfl:

How fun to take a random day for the MK! I like not having plans in Disney, we usually play bus roulette just as often as planning to go to a specific park!

Last minute ADRs are so fun! It's like OH HEY! Let's go RIGHT NOW!

i was gonna say... HOW have you never done Jungle Cruise before?! Hahaha I just love that ride.

Hahah! Nope, I'm good on the Storybook Circus pics, since I saw it in person! It was incomplete, but the buildings were all there! Thanks for asking though! And don't worry about warning me every time, it's totally fine! Just mentioning New Fantasyland is fine! Hahah yall are too sweet to me! Your pictures are so cute! I love that new meet and greet! Can't wait to try it out.

Oooh yay! Your next update sounds exciting!

You can't leave a cliffhanger like that!!!

I saw those ears all over to oand they are so darn cute.

I'm a little upset that you title the chapter like that... give us an update and then A CLIFFHANGER??! TOTALLY NOT COOL! I wanna know what the amazing thing was! Did you get to ride the tea cups with Alice?! Did you get fastpasses to like every ride in the park?! WHAT HAPPENED?! I'M DIEING TO KNOW!:faint:

Something about eating breakfast at the Polynesian on your "off day"...same thing happened to us! We ended up in MK, just for a little while. It's especially hard when you have AP's and it's nothing to just hop into the park for a couple of hours!

That really stinks that you never got to ride Splash Mountain, that's my favorite Disney World attraction ever! Definitely need to correct that on your next trip, girl!

Add me to the people who :faint: at your mention of never going on Jungle Cruise!!!! So totally corny, but definitely a classic. :thumbsup2 I'm glad to know that even with the FP enforcement, they will honor your FP later if the ride goes down during your window.

Bahhhh! Cliffhanger! I wanna know why it worked out so well for you!

I am so glad you liked Tonga Toast. It is my absolute favorite beyond favorite food at Disney. It is a must do for me!!

How cute is Minnie??? And I love that even though you had to beg Brandon to go in with you, he ended up enjoying it!

Yay! Now, I still want to know what happened next!!!:rotfl:

Your ears are adorable! I love them. That is a really cute picture with Minnie! Love it!

I just love Tonga Toast. I wonder if they can make it without the bananas. I'm glad you did not find the bananas too overpowering. What a great breakfast to start the day with.

Love the update and can't wait to find out what happens next. :thumbsup2

On our next trip, I want to do all of the things I haven't done yet and Hall of Presidents is one of them. Because I am a huge History dork, too. History Channel is one my favorite channels and I adore my Ancestry.com account. So much good stuff there.

Susan

OMG Hall of Presidents is so fantastic! I just love American History for some reason, I'm always a little sad that I didn't become a history teacher! Go see Hall of Presidents, you won't regret it! :cool1:

I love the History Channel too! Do you have the BYU channel? There is this show called "American Ride" and it's this biker guy who rides all over America to these battlefields and old historic places and tells you about American History, it's awesome! :thumbsup2 Google it! You can watch episodes of it online!

Ok you're crazy because your pics came out great! I LOVE those Minnie ears and ever since I saw them on Kathy's TR, I've been saying I'm going to get them!

Hooray for a spontaneous breakfast at Kona! Tonga Toast is my favorite but I LOVE bananas! I'm so glad you tried it!

Isn't it great being at the MK without a plan?! Since we usually go to the Halloween Party a couple times during our trips, we basically use our days at the MK to just wander around aimlessly. It's so much fun to do it that way! And now that the new Fantasyland is open there is so much to look at! I can't wait to see it in person!

And thank you for telling us about that character meet and greet because I need to do it when we go! Soo cute!

I can't believe you'd never done Jungle Cruise! It's cheesy but I love it! And I love the Hall of Presidents! I always feel like I'm the only one in there who isn't sleeping through it lol

Ahh! Cliffhanger!!!! :faint:

Haha, well, you know how hard I am on myself when it comes to pictures!

The Tonga Toast was great, but I hate bananas! I'm glad it was easy to eat around the middle!

MK with no plan is great, we hardly ever have a plan for the parks anymore, I just know to hit the popular rides first! But this day we didn't have to do that, and it was SO nice to just wander! :cool1:

I love that new character meet and greet area! I have to meet Goofy and Donald next!

Haha, I know, we always skipped the Jungle Cruise, so I'm glad we finally had a chance to do it! :cool1:

:faint: I can't believe you never do the Jungle Cruise! We always have to do it every trip! The jokes are corny (and sometimes the skippers aren't that great) but it is a classic!

I should probably do Hall of Presidents again one of these days. The last time we saw it was 2009, right after they put Obama in it.

The Minnie and Daisy meet is so much fun!

I loved the Jungle Cruise! I don't know a good skipper from a bad one, but ours seemed pretty good! The jokes were corny, but funny! :cool1:

I love the Hall of Presidents, especially when it's hot and you need a place to rest!

Isn't it? Loved it! :thumbsup2

I LOVE the pressed pot coffee...best coffee I've ever had.

How fun to just decide to go to MK. I couldn't get Mark to do that on our "off day".

I saw a lot of those particular Minnie ears in December...very cute.

See, I just don't get that pressed pot...it just tastes like coffee to me! Then again, I'm not a fan of plain coffee, I need a flavor like vanilla or hazelnut to really enjoy it!

I didn't think Brandon would go for it, so I was happy when he was ok with it! :thumbsup2

I love those ears, the cute new fancy ones they keep coming out with are so cute!

YUM! Tonga toast! I've been craving that ever since September!

I think it's great that you spontaneously hopped on the monorail to MK!
I bought the same Minnie ears last year!

Me too! It's so good!

Haha good I'm glad it's not just me that doesn't get the pressed pot! :confused3 I don't really like coffee unless it's flavored, so maybe that's why?

It was so nice to visit the MK with no plan to do so! Such a great day!

Aren't those ears the best? :yay:

Spontaneous days turn out awesome :)

Aww your fancy minnie ears are so cute! I've yet to get any... maybe next time *** those are pretty sweet ones!

Ry loves the circus/dumbo area :) dunno is one of his absolute must dos!!!

Aaahh I'm excited to hear what happens next!!!!!

They do! I loved this day!

What, you don't have any Minnie ears? I feel like someday I'm going to have them all, haha! I have a severe problem! :rotfl2:

I liked the Circus area too, it's so pretty!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Great update! TONGA TOAST. Yum. And those spontaneous visits to the parks, where there's nothing to rush to or worry about, are the best. :goodvibes Love those Minnie Mouse ears too!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Tonga Toast is so good, I'm SO glad I tried it!! :cool1:

I loved just spontaneously going to the park, it was fantastic, we did so much, and in my next update, you'll see WHY it was such a great decision! :yay:

Thanks! I love those ears! I wish I could wear them everyday!

I can't believe you have never been on Jungle Cruise!! I like it...my DH, not so much...LOL

hurry up and get the next post up!! You left us with a cliffhanger...:faint:

Haha, I know, I have problems! I just get so stuck on doing my favorite things that I forget to try new things!

I'm going to as soon as I finish responses! :yay:

You are so hard on yourself. Your pics look great! I love those fancy Minnie ears! When I first saw them, with the feathers, I wasn't so sure, but I quickly grew to love them.

I love Jungle Cruise. The skipper can kind of make or break the ride though. It makes it so much better when they are good at delivering those corny jokes. :)

Aww, thank you! :goodvibes I'm just so unhappy with how I look right now! I have to start exercising!

I wasn't sure about the feather either, but they're so cute and sparkly, I got over it and now I love it!

I thought our skipper was good, so I'm curious what a bad one is like! :rotfl2:

Yay for Tonga Toast!!! The bananas are actually my favorite part! :rotfl:

How fun to take a random day for the MK! I like not having plans in Disney, we usually play bus roulette just as often as planning to go to a specific park!

Yay! Haha, ugh, I hate bananas! I'm like the only person alive who hates them, though! :rotfl2:

I love the idea of playing bus roulette! I'll have to do that on my next trip a few times! :yay:

Last minute ADRs are so fun! It's like OH HEY! Let's go RIGHT NOW!

i was gonna say... HOW have you never done Jungle Cruise before?! Hahaha I just love that ride.

Oooh yay! Your next update sounds exciting!

I love when you can get a last minute ADR for a place you really want to go, it makes it that much more satisfying! :cool1:

Haha I don't know! I'm glad I finally did, it was fun! I love corny jokes! :rotfl2:

I thought you saw Storybook Circus, I remembered reading your updates, but I just HAD to make sure! I can't wait for you to see New Fantasyland in person! You're going to die!!!! :crazy2:

It is! But you can't read it! :sad1:

You can't leave a cliffhanger like that!!!

I saw those ears all over to oand they are so darn cute.

Haha, I'm sorry! I will be updating in a few minutes!

I love the new ears! There are a pair of purple ones that I really want! :cool1:

I'm a little upset that you title the chapter like that... give us an update and then A CLIFFHANGER??! TOTALLY NOT COOL! I wanna know what the amazing thing was! Did you get to ride the tea cups with Alice?! Did you get fastpasses to like every ride in the park?! WHAT HAPPENED?! I'M DIEING TO KNOW!:faint:

Haha, oh, I'm sorry! LOL, no, it was nothing like that, maybe you are going to read my next update and be totally disappointed! I hope not!

Something about eating breakfast at the Polynesian on your "off day"...same thing happened to us! We ended up in MK, just for a little while. It's especially hard when you have AP's and it's nothing to just hop into the park for a couple of hours!

Yeah it's hard to eat at the Poly when you know MK is right out there! :yay:

I know, I can't believe we missed Splash, I hope I get to ride it on my next trip! It better not be closed for some reason! :rotfl:

Haha, well I'm glad I finally did the Jungle Cruise you guys are all so horrified that I've never done it! I liked it, it's cute! :cool1: Yeah, that was really cool that they told us we could come back any time during the day to use the FP! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry!!! I'm updating in a minute! :thumbsup2

It's really good! I'm probably going to eat there again on my next trip just to have it again!

I loved meeting Minnie and Daisy, they were so cute! I love Minnie's outfit! :cool1:

Your ears are adorable! I love them. That is a really cute picture with Minnie! Love it!

I just love Tonga Toast. I wonder if they can make it without the bananas. I'm glad you did not find the bananas too overpowering. What a great breakfast to start the day with.

Love the update and can't wait to find out what happens next. :thumbsup2

Thank you! I love those ears! And thank you, I really liked those pictures we took with Minnie and Daisy! :cool1:

Hmm I don't see why they couldn't make it without the bananas, unless it holds it together somehow! :confused3 Maybe I'll ask next time I'm there!

I'm updating in a minute!! I can't wait to start this update! :yay:

I enjoyed seeing your many pictures. I started to comment on certain ones, but then realized they were just about all food pictures, and I thought that might make me look a little hoggish.

Let's just say, I agree with you on the Holiday Sandwich at Earl,
and
I scrape some of the banana away from my Tonga Toast. :goodvibes

I like many of the other food items you have shown, as well. :thumbsup2
(And I think I am just excited to be looking at food again after having had some kind of horrid stomach virus since Friday.)

I am enjoying the Christmas decorations, too, since we didn't take a 2012 holiday trip. We'll be back this December, and though I don't want to wish the year away, I look forward to seeing Disney Christmas decor again.

Looking forward to more!

Welcome to our Dress Rehearsal!

*Warning to Marissa-don't read this update, lol! I'm sad you can't read it, because it was one of the best parts of my trip!!! :sad1:*

So. Brandon and I were ready to leave the Magic Kingdom, and started to make our way out of Storybook Circus. It probably would have been easier to walk through Tomorrowland and leave that way, but I wanted to make a quick detour, so I started walking towards Fantasyland. New Fantasyland, to be more precise.

I told Brandon I wanted to see if MAYBE it was open. I knew it wouldn't be, since it was only open to AP holders that week, but hey, can't hurt to look right?

So we walked over and looked at the sign they had out, which was guarded by CM's, and figured it said it was closed. But then I saw people walking in and the CM's just letting them. So I got closer and read the sign-

"Welcome to our Dress Rehearsal of New Fantasyland!"

Oh. My. God. I started flipping out to poor Brandon, telling him it was open and I could FINALLY see this new, probably amazing section of the Magic Kingdom. I felt like I waited SO long for this moment, and we were about to walk in. I think I actually had to stop for a second to make sure it was actually going to happen!

We walked in, right by the CM's who just waved to us and smiled-for some reason, I was thinking they would tell us we weren't allowed in there haha, and we were IN! IN NEW FANTASYLAND!!!

I could not contain myself, I was freaking out. I was crying, Brandon was laughing at me, I was trying to compose myself to figure out what we should do first, and I was trying to see every little detail! I did not want to miss anything!

The first thing I focused on was the Beast's Castle!

I mean, sure, I've seen it from afar, outside of New Fantasyland, but I was IN New Fantasyland, so I had a whole new perspective, and the Castle was perfect! I love how it really looks like it's up on top of a mountain! The whole area is amazing, with the waterfall and river under it, I loved it!

And of course, the Castle is home to Be Our Guest!

And people were going in!!!

So I said to Brandon "can we eat here? Can we actually go in? I'll die if we can eat here, can you ask?"

So Brandon went up to one of the CM's and asked if we could go in and they said yes, if we wanted to eat, we had to get in line, and if we just wanted to look around, we could go in a different door to just wander around! WHAT???? :faint:

Of course I was not about to pass up an opportunity to eat here! And the line wasn't even that long, so we hopped in and just looked around at all the amazing scenery!

The line moved really slowly, it seemed like the whole ordering process was confusing for a lot of people! They had self-serve kiosks where you just do the touch screen to order, and then they had actual people you could order from.

Finally we got into the room where you order, which is the Beast's room where he hangs out during dinner, so his chair was there. People were sitting in it, taking pictures, so of course, Brandon wanted his picture in the Beast's chair:

I was trying to take pictures of the area where you order, but I didn't want anyone to see what I was doing so this is the best one that I got, haha!

It was our turn to order and it took no time at all! We went through a line with a CM, and everything was really simple, they have the whole menu on a screen right where you order and it could not be easier! I'm not sure why it was so complicated for people, I think the dining plan confused a lot of people for some reason!

Anyway, when you complete your order, they give you a rose, and when you sit at the table, the rose is how they find you and give you your order. HOW AMAZING IS THAT??? I wish I had a picture of it, but I'm sure you guys have seen it a million times by now, right? I can't believe I didn't take a picture!

But I'm guessing I didn't take a picture of it because when I walked into the ballroom, I was blown away! It is literally like stepping into the movie "Beauty and the Beast". It is perfect in every way.

You can't tell in the pictures, but it actually has SNOW falling outside of those windows!!!

We didn't want to wander around too long, so we just grabbed the first table we saw in the ballroom, kind of close to the windows.

Brandon went to get us drinks and when he sat down, our food arrived! They bring it in these glass carts to keep it warm, I guess, and it's just crazy how they wheel those things around and know which table to bring everything to!

Brandon got the Tuna Nicoise Salad

(Sorry the pictures of the food are dark, it's dark in there and I was using my phone!)

And I got the Croque Monsieur with fries:

And for dessert, we both got the chocolate cupcake!

Everything was amazing! I loved it, Brandon loved his salad, although he said he was still hungry by the end, haha! I was just so happy to be eating there, everything could have been horrible and I wouldn't have cared, but luckily, it's really good! :cool1: I'd love to do the quick service again, but there's no way I'd ever wait an hour to eat there!

When we finished eating, we decided to look in the west wing before we left,
which was gorgeous! Again, it was just like being in the movie!!!

Finally, we were ready to leave, I was excited to see Be Our Guest, but I was dying to go on the Little Mermaid Ride! As we were walking out, I saw this:

:faint:

DEAD.

I hope everyone gets a chance to eat at Be Our Guest! I've heard people complain about the food, but I've eaten there for lunch and dinner, and it's fantastic! I don't know what more people could want, but I loved it! And you just have to see the inside if you like Beauty and the Beast, because it's like being in the movie, and I love that! I didn't want to leave!

But like I said, there was still MORE New Fantasyland to explore, and I was REALLY hoping the wait for the Little Mermaid wasn't too bad, because I HAD to ride that puppy!

Up next...MORE NEW FANTASYLAND!!!

Jen, so glad you got a chance to see the Dress Rehearsal. Isn't it marvelous? I am so glad we had dinner at BOG in December when it first opened and I have two more ADR's for this year (and will probably make one for December too...and I just realized I can make ADR's for that trip the day I leave for my June trip ).

I'm so glad you enjoyed your meal. They truly did an outstanding job with BOG.
