No one snacks like Gaston

We were wandering around the MK hungry and tired it was after 11 pm. As many of you know protein type snacks are hard to come by at that hour. DH remarked that if he had a sausage cart there he could make a fortune.

We came upon Gaston's tavern and were pleasantly surprised that they had beef stew with carrot and potatoes and a big hunk of bread for $10. Dh and I shared it, the girls had drinks and everyone left happier. Plus Dh got a picture in that awesome chair of Gaston's.

Overall Plus they have good chocolate croissants.

I was wondering if the stew was still available going into the warmer months. It does seem like a good thing to split as a snack or a whole meal for one.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed LeFou's Brew! Good stuff!

I'm bummed the Pork Shank is off the menu, that used to be a go to item that my DH and I would split. We would get one of those and a big cinnamon bun. I guess we will have to try the stew this trip.

Can anyone allude to the portion size of the Stew?

I'm sad about the pork shank too, we never tried it.

The stew portion is pretty good. Plenty of food for one for a meal, or two adults for snack. Although it is juicy, so sharing can be messy. But the juice is good, tastes like they used wine. Lots of meat and carrots, a few potatoes. Plus it was a good hunk of bread.

Thats a great idea. We may have to go and try the stew! I a looking forward to trying the warm cinnamon bun. Ive heard its awesome!!
