Hi everyone. I am hoping you can help me.

My parents offered to pay for our Hoop Dee Doo dinner show tickets. :) I am wondering if I use their credit card now online to book, am I going to have a problem checking-in? I am married now and obviously have a different last name, so my family checking in will be "Smith" when my Mom and Dad "Jones" will be on the paid bill. Will they want the card that was used because it won't be with me - it's my mother's. Is this allowed? I feel like surely it must be but I don't want to get down there and not be able to see our show!

Thanks!! :hippie:

Why not just call Disney's reservation # and ask. I can't see why you would have a problem as long as your name is on the reservation.

Why not have your parents write you a check for the amount and then use your credit card? It just seems like in the long run it would be easier not to have to worry about it.

A better idea would be to have them give you a gift card for the amount of the dinner.

Have them get a prepaid credit card for the amount and use that number.

Since the tickets to HDDR are pre-purchased, you shouldn't have any need to show credit card again.

I've always picked them up at our Disney resort hotel, so I don't know if it is any different at the HDDR window -- but I've never done anything at the hotel other than tell them the name the tickets are in, and they hand me ther tickets.

There are so many options, as already mentioned. But calling DR and asking them for their opinoin on your best option is really a good idea. Good luck!

We did call the other night and they gave us an iffy answer as in, "well it shouldn't be a problem but...", they didn't sound 100%.

Anyway, thanks for the replies! :)

If your parents are like us they want to use their credit card to get points.
I have paid in advance for my daughters reservations. I don't think it matters or they care who paid. But you will need a copy of the confirmation number and take that with you. In fact take your confirmation number for each of your reservations. Also, its important to know the name and phone number its in. Put your name and phone you can be reached at. I checked on one of my dinner reservations and had registered one with the home phone while others were with my husbands cell phone. So I had a little trouble locating it until I came up with right phone number. I made my husbands fishing reservations in my name and worried because I am not going fishing. They said it didn't matter and just bring the confirmation number. So... I hope I'm not going fishing! LOL

It really shouldn't matter.... DH and I use different last names. After 10 years of being married to him, I never got to change my last name to his. :rolleyes1 We use different cards at times, sometimes one oh DH's name and sometimes mine to pay for things for our trips and never had a problem.

Last year we had a group and made one reservation, but
paid for it with 2 credit cards from the group. It worked
fine.

I've purchased Hoop Dee Doo Revue tickets twice for my parents as a gift and both times it was no problem.

I called the Dining number, told them I would be buying them as a gift and they asked for the name the hotel reservation for my parents was under.

They gave me a confirmation number and I gave that to my parents with the gift. The tickets were there at their hotel with no problems.
