Just returned from our 10-day trip and as my family walked down the walkway to Soarin' without me, I decided to go along and give it a try. I am the queen of nausea. Car sickness, Body Wars, Teacups - none of that stuff for me - so I was pretty nervous about this ride, especially whent he person behind us in line said his wife was sitting out because she couldn't handle it.
I was pleasantly surprised that I really didn't have a problem with Soarin'. There were a few spots (most notably, the nighttime scene) when I had to momentarily close my eyes because it made me dizzy, but it never made me feel sick to my stomach. One good thing is that air is blowing on your face the whole time and that helps. It is also very smooth and doesn't bounce around.
It turned out to be my DD7 and DS5's favorite ride and we rode it 4 times with no problems. I'm so glad I gave it a try. I hope everyone else with motion sickness has the same luck.
And remember to go straight there in the morning - and get a FastPass!!
