No More Toll Free Number!!

I use a Presidents Choice prepaid card from any Loblaws (No Frills/Zehrs/etc...). 4c/minute, so even a one hour call costs me $2.50 - I'm not worried about it... I'll pay that for a bottle of water at the airport.

Plus I take the card anywhere I go to call back home (including WDW)

So, I can go buy a calling card from PCF, and it will work in the United States for calling back to Canada? How much do the cards cost?

Seemed like a good thing but when I tried to dial tonight the voice recording stated I have reached an inactive number.

Disney really should have a toll free number all things considered. The cruise line has a toll free number at least, not that it will help some folks here.:santa:

It is a long distance card and yes it works in the U.S. The cards come in different amounts $5, $10, $20 and they expire 6 months after first use. You can top them up online as well so I just get the $5 card and top it up when needed. I think it adds another 6 months on to it when you do this. You dial a toll free number, the pin number on the card, and then the area code and phone number of who you are calling. Here is their website.

Ok why the worry about a toll free number we have a long distance package with Bell and pay about 6 cents a minute to Canada and the US why not add this to your home phone service and stop worrying about the cost of a phone call. In teh grand scheme of things the phone call is the cheapest part of your trip.

Wow! That's fantastic! Will have to get myself one of those for our upcoming trip.

We are flying for the first time and my parents (who have never flown) are frantic. They are even making us get our wills done before we leave, as they think the plane has a higher statistical chance of crashing if it takes off and our final wishes aren't in order :lmao: . It will be nice to call them from the resort to put their minds at ease that YES, we made it OK. I had heard that calling from the resort to home would be moocho expensive :scared1: .

I use these cards as well, for my disney trips. Our last trip we were in WDW 22 days, and phoned home at least once a day. Most calls were about 5 minutes, and we still had a buck or 2 left on them when we got back. I believe it was a $10 card. I get mine at No Frills. I wouldn't travel to WDW without it. The only drawback, is I have to use it at pay phones to avoid the fee Disney charges to the room for phone calls. It is still excellent value. I tried to make my calls from the parks pay phones rather than the resort pay phones, in case I got a busy signal, or no answer.
