Holy cow, what's the world comming to? No more pony rides for kids? That's just sad, first the Peacocks, now the ponies? They keep this up and they are going to have to rename it Fort Inner City eventually....... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I believe the pony rides are still operating, at least they were last October. It is the petting zoo itself that is no longer intact - assorted goats, chickens, sheep, and pigs are gone. Peacocks have been gone for quite a while now - the trapping process took a while to accomplish, and "whitey" was one of the last holdouts.

Sorry must have misread a previous post. Still sad about the Peacocks, I loved to watch them last year.

we were there May 12-15, a few weeks ago.

Pony rides were there for $3. i stopped over by them to ask how much they were charging, and watched the kids.

do they change the price often? I was there the 23-29th of April and the rides were $4. maybe because of spring break?

We also did the pony rides over Easter Break. Cost was $4 for DD.( 1 lap around the pony stable - took about 3 minutes!) I asked about the petting zoo. The CM said that all they had now were the ponies and a couple of pigs, which she showed us. We enjoyed watching the larger horses being washed down for the evening too.

DGD rode a pony a couple weeks ago; it was $4. There were a couple pigs and some goats and that was it for the petting zoo.
