No more Major Domo's at CRT...Booooo!

We just ate at CRT for lunch on June 28th and 3 of us had it. That's why I like going there for lunch instead of breakfast. It's so good I hate that they may no longer have it. I did notice alot of people ordered it, I was thinking it's a pretty popular dish!

Really bummed to hear the prime rib is off the dinner menu as I had hopes to try this. DW was looking forward to eating here but I'm tempted to pull the "Too bad I couldn't get the ADR."

Did they put anything in its place or are there now just 4 menu selections. None of us would eat the other very limited selections, either, so I would also cancel my ADR for lunch there and switch it to breakfast or drop it altogether. We don't eat fish, and the pork and vegetarian options just don't appeal to us.

on 6/25 at CRT and the Major Domo was still offered. My wife and I both ordered it.

Now, I was disappointed that there were only three princesses at the meal. I hadn't seen that mentioned on the boards.

What IS on the menu....
some type of salad... some entree with shrimp....another I think is short ribs or something-ribs... and sorry, cant' recall the fourth.
I know there used to be some type of sandwich on there, chicken or something... but can't remember if it was still there. We saw no Domo and were like ahhhh!

Shame, as our castle days are limited we say. have 2 trips left that the twins will still be "kids" and not adults. We do deluxe dining plan, and wow, that price is going to be NOT doable once we are a party of 4 adults.. and certainly won't be doing a 2 credit meal like CRT.
But just thought it was a signature lunch entree there.... just like I'd be shocked to go to Mama Melrose and no chick parm..... or no Mickey waffles at Chef Mickey, lol!

Our server said the change happened a week ago... hostess up front said 3 days prior... (we were there July 3rd).
Is nice to see the princesses... but for us that isn't the draw of CRT... been there, done it MANY times. Princesses an added bonus for us.

Oh.. and we got our photo taken with Cinderella.... wonder what happened to it since we never stayed? Me and girls joked that the staff have it hanging up somewhere with a caption saying "This is the family that actually walked out of CRT"

I would hope that others stop and mention to the manager there like we did about how Major Domo should come back on the menu.
We are booked there again for Thanksgiving trip.... and hoping it shows up again... but am doubtful!
I've enjoyed it many times.... and my daughter turned 10 and was excited our last two trips to try, and fall in love with, major domo's....... and I liked it, as she couldn't finish it all which meant MORE for ME to finish off hers!

our other issue... last trip we noticed they took the hot dog off the kids menu. Autistic son went in chanting hot dog, hot dog... nothing on kids menue for him... and to use up 2 dining credits for him to eat nada... ugh. Server was SO cool last trip... they actually went and got him a hotdog I guess from a counter service.. was really cool they went out of their way when they saw he really wanted a hot dog. So this time... he's sitting there chanting hot dog again... and I'm thinking ugh, again, what am I going to do for him... then daughter saying mom, there's no major domo... well, that did it for us.
part of me is happy.... now don't have to do a 2 credit meal anymore, so no major domo saves me $$!

I also saw someone post that it's Shepherd's Pie, but I wouldn't classify it as a traditional Shepherd's Pie- especially if you're thinking Rose & Crown Shepherd's Pie. The beef in the cabernet sauce kind of sets it apart. It was soooooo good!

Agree -- it's not a traditional Shepard's Pie. I always enjoyed it. But, our last experience at CRT was so miserable that we won't go back under any circumstances, so the fact that Major Domo's is gone is immaterial to us. Lunch at CRT used to be a must do.

I'd still love to know what actually replaced it, as we have an ADR for lunch at CRT on 7/24. I even sent an email to Disney and never received an answer.

We have a dinner scheduled July 30th. Would like to know what the real menu is as we may not have anything we eat! Anyone know the adult/kid dinner menus? Is all ears totally wrong?

Just looked at the menus on here - they looked updated - no dessert for adults is listed though. Is that not included now?

I just had dinner there on 7/4, would not go back. Service was good but we went for the Prime Rib and its gone. We had the fillet of beef , which was actually 3 slices of beef, on sprig of asparagus (quartered) and potatoe. We had a Caeser salad for an app. We have been many times, so its not an experience anymore, nor is the food. I enjoyed my dinner at Teppan Edo so much more.

Can someone please tell me what is on the lunch CRT menu now? My DH had the major domo at lunch on June 1, and it was great (I had the cobia, it was good, but the major domo was better!! I was thinking of doing a girls' lunch in Oct and getting the major domo...decisions, decisions.

The menus shown here are for Breakfast and Dinner. The lunch menu (which is the one that used to have the Major Domo) is not listed.

There is dessert - if I remember correctly, cheesecake, chocolate mousse or sugar-free sorbet with fruit. The chocolate mousse was too "gel-ly." The cheesecake was good.

Oh, and what was odd... they handed us the menus... and they were different, not overlly fancy or anything. My daughter kept sayign they gave us the wrong menu, because Major Domo wasn't on it... and then pointed to I don't remember, it was either somewhere on a stand or the seater holding them, but yeah, there were the old ones there and she kept saying see, they still have the old ones. And when the manager approached us... I guess shocked we were actually leaving CRT....... he said but oh, we have the shortribs now which are good or something else he said, don't you want to try those? No... we are picky eaters as it is... and especially at 2 dining credits worth, isn't a place we want to spend 2 credits to just pick at something. But there was no mention from manager of ohh, sorry, that's okay, we can fix you guys up some Major Domo anyway.... nope, it's gone, done deal.
Our server did comment that yeah, he was surprised to see it gone also.

I just cancelled our CRT ADR for our November trip. who knows.. perhaps it will be back on the menu by then?... then will be a shame to have cancelled ADR! But, this does fit our schedule now better without it.... and still we have the issue of my autistic son chanting for a hot dog, which they no longer serve. Shame to waste 2 credits on him to sit there and eat nothing.
