Just wanted to say.....I finally registered so I could join you guys in posting, and to say thanks for all the great info!

I admit....I've been lurking ever since I decided to go several months ago and my sister told me about this site. Oh, thank you, thank you, dear sister. But since I spend sooo much time on here anyway, I thought I'd better stop my lurkish ways. anyway.....

I am heading down in September for my first trip in over a decade (I was in high school!!!), and the first trip ever for my DH and DS3 and DD1. (and she turns 2 while we're there!) I am so excited and having so much fun planning this trip!!!


Thank you for passing along all the great tips for those of us needing help making all those decisions.

Hi Princesa and welcome from a fellow Michigander (well, currently anyway! )!

Our stories are very similar...we made our first trip as a family when my DS was 3 and my DD was 1 (13 months). At that point it had also been several years since I had been to WDW! That was 2 trips ago and we are looking forward to our third family trip in Dec. with DS (who will be 10) and DD7. I remember how different it was to be at WDW as a parent with young children vs. being there as a young adult. What a shift in perspective! Anyway, there's so much great info here on the DIS! Hope you and your family have a wonderful trip!

Welcome from another Michigander.........a lifelong one here
My first trip to WDW was on our honeymoon & we've taken the kids since the oldest ones (twins) were 2-1/2. My youngest DS made his first trip right after his 1st birthday. They are 14, 14 & 7 now and they all love our yearly trip to WDW
