No more hotel meet n greets. Is dlh worth it

We are a family of five hoping to go to dlp next march 2015. Youngest will be under 3 but will be out of a cot by then. After much deliberation we thought we would stretch and book dlh standard room and try putting 3 kids in a bed together. Never been done before. However just before I went to book yesterday I came across a thread which said no more character meet n greets in hotels from November 3rd. My question is is the dlh worth it now. Meet n greet and closeness to park were my reasons. However closeness to park alone cannot justify the extra money. Am I better to look at hny or even gf room in sequoia? What would you do?

It's the DLH itself. The pink palace. It's well worth it even without the characters. I'd go for DLH if I could.
But I do like HNY and prefer it over SL.
I think it all comes to the amount you'd have to pay.

the characters are being removed from the onsite hotels - and put in the park for EMH instead (this doesn't happen at the moment).

Totally still worth it. You can still be one of the first into the park and tbh; a couple of characters in the morning at the hotel would never sway my decision to stay on/offsite. For me it's about being near to the parks.

The breakfast is well worth it - eating will looking out towards Sleeping Beauty Castle is lovely!
