The thing is, my FB friends are people I know in real life, or people who personally know someone I know. I have friended a few folks from the DIS without meeting them first, but only after chatting with them long enough to feel comfortable giving them access to my profile.

I am the same way.. I have a few Dis peeps but only a few people from the this section of the boards actually! Some I've met in person from last Gay Days, others I chat with quite a bit on here.

Hubby on the other hand, we'll never see on FB and he only reads Dis, never posts.

Add me as an adherent to that FB friend philosophy - currently I only have friends whom I have actually met in person.

Now, I have met a number of fine folks last year at Gay Days and would be proud to add any of them if they should want, one of whom I already have.
