The Miami Herald is reporting that they will discontinue to serve complimentary beer at the Busch theme parks including SeaWorld and Busch Gardens in Central Florida.

Now, while most people are thinking this is because of the bad economy and trying to get more profits, I'm thinking this probably has a lot to do with the fact that the Anheuser Busch company was sold off to Belgium's InBev. This may be a way to start to sell off the parks to a more "family friendly" company ... cough cough.

The humanity of it.

Once beer was free and now no longer.

This is a sad day for us beer drinkers. :(

Dang! That places was a great place to rest up whilst me and my sister were trying to locate our stomachs after that hurl-inducing (well not quite) Arctic ride! For some reason my parents are never effected, and just kept sampling the beer!

What- oh no!!! We loved the free beer at SeaWorld TX this summer. We made multiple stops to uh, cool off!

InBev getting rid of the beer in the themes parks is most likely a way to save money (and make more money by adding the cafes and restuarants). They will still serve free beer at the Brewery in St. Louis and Grant's Farms.

I think it's a mistake to cut the free beer. IMHO people are more willing to try a new or different product for free than go to the store and buy a 6 pack to try.
