No More Disney Visa 3x or 5x rewards?

I have some big purchases to make so I decided to call the visa company to see if they were doing any promotions for 3x or 5x the rewards and they told me they do not do them any longer. Has anyone received any promotions recently. I am hoping this lady doesn't know what she is talking about.

I think the girl knew what she was talking about. It's been almost a year since I've seen any kind of bonus offer for the regular Disney Visa. I think that they want to get people to move to their premium card with an annual fee. You get a bonus in certain categories when you first sign up and then 2 pts/$ on all purchases instead of 1 pt/$ with the regular Disney Visa card.

I have not seen the bonus category rewards in awhile. I did change one of my cards to the Disney Premiere Card & got 5% bonus in certain catgories for 3 months for doing the upgrade, but have seen nothing on the regular card. Bummer, I know!

I have almost stopped using my Disney Visa cards completely.

I have a 2% American Express with no annual fee that I use as well as one other Visa card that I have available.

I will NOT pay an annual fee for a card.

The Chase freedom card has a new bonus category every quarter...I use that card for the bonus categories and use my Disney visa for the rest. With the new premier card, which I do not want to upgrade to, the regular Disney visa is looking less attractive to me. I will keep it for the specials and perks but I earn more points per purchase on my freedom card.

I haven't used my Disney Visa card in a long time. Usually when I didn't use the card for awhile I'd get a 3x or 5x reward promotion but I can't remember the last one I got - it's been a long time. Guess the gal was right; they don't offer them anymore.

I use my Chase Freedom card now.

I also use Chase Freedom (5% this quarter on groceries even includes WalMart yea) I don't have a Disney Visa and if they don't have the extras anymore don't know if I ever will. I can cash out other cards' rewards for cash and buy Disney GC if I wish and those have no restrictions..I don't see what the Disney Visa really offers..any input? Also, will not be getting any card that charges an annual fee.

My last bonus on the Disney card was for 4th quarter 2010 Like PPs, I use the Chase Freedom much more than the Disney card now; my rewards all go to our "Disney" fund anyway, so I want to get the most bang for my reward buck, and the Freedom card has been doing that for me.
I rarely use my Disney card anymore, unless it's for discounts...

The last postcard I received for DV they never gave me the 3% bonus. I had to call them 3 times!!

I got a $200 reward for signing up for Chase Freedom and I love the 5% rewards. I wish there wasn't a $1,500 limit on the 5% for the quarter though. I still use my DV card but since I only get 1%, I seem to use my CF more.
