No more Disney Club

I just got my pamphlet of membership benefits for the Disney Club. Enclosed was a letter stating that the Disney Club will be closed as of December 31, 2003.

All membership benefits will be honored up to that date, but as of December 12, 2002, (I think that is the date) no new memberships will be accepted.

I'm a little bummed because we always used our DC membership for discounts on tickets, at the Disney Store & also at the restaurants that took it.

Anyone hear of anything new they will be coming out with to replace the Disney Club?

The info we received in the newsletter envelope is the most I have heard.
BTW, did you receive a binder for the benefits?

I didn't receive a new binder. The only one I have ever received is the one I got when I renewed my membership last year. I only received the benefit information in a sealed plastic pouch.

I see that you have been at OKW many, many times. I'm assuming you're DVC members. We are leaving in 10 days for OKW on rented points.

I have 3 DD's, a 13 yr. old & two 10 yr. old twins. We are renting the 2 bedroom for a week with my parents. Any tips you can give me or anything I should know before we get there?
