No More Chicken Strips @ WDW?

OMG my son is going to have a fit:lmao:
I wonder why they would really do that, the Chick Strips looked like real meat to me, I'm sure the nuggets are going to be processed....seriously that doesn't sound like a good choice that WDW made

I just wrote an e-mail to guest communications waxing poetic about how much I love chicken strips and how much I want them to to be reinstated on the menus. I think this makes me officially crazy, I mean who takes 20 mins of their valuable time to write about chicken strips! :rotfl:

I don't care though, I love chicken strips and Disney has to know that we are not happy!

FREE THE CHICKEN STRIPS!!

That's what I was wondering. What are the new nuggets like? If they are just smaller versions of the chicken strips that's one thing. But if they are like the chicken nuggets that come with kid's meals that's not good. The chicken nuggets that some with the kid's meals are not the same quality chicken as the chicken strips.

I hope this isn't true. I LOVE WDW chicken strips!!!

The nuggets that come with the kids menu are nasty!

I have a 13 y/o who LOVES the chicken strips. He is a very fussy eater. I hope they change this before september. I felt kind of silly writing the email to them but I did it.

woo hoo! I just realized this is my 400th post :)

Before we all out panic about the strips being gone everywhere. OP's signature shows that they were last in Disney in 2007.

We have had at least three posters who were in Disney in February 2008 reporting that the strips are still on the menu.

Before complaining to all of Disney and assuming they're gone, I'd like to see some specific information about when they were gone.

Both posters claiming to know they're gone vaguely refer to recently. Posters who have been there recently have given us dates that they were there.

Someone posted pics of the new "nuggets" in their review posted in "Dining Reviews""Feb 11-16". They do NOT look like the gross kids chicken nuggets, just smaller versions of the fingers-maybe a mini strip. I'm not going to get upset until I actually taste them and find them gross. I have trust in Disney and although I am disappointed, it isn't the end of the world. I'm too excited about our trip and there are so many great things to eat at Disney, that this won't ruin it.:cloud9:

THANK YOU for posting this. I went to the review and found the following picture

It's from Columbia Harbor House and the reviewer said that the strips were good, average fried fare.

Judging from the picture they look to be the same as the previous chix strips only smaller, not as much bang for your buck unless the increased the portion but hey i can live with that.:cool2:

The switch to the chicken striplets may not be a health-conscious move. Assuming the switch hasn't affected the portion of actual chicken contained in the meal, smaller pieces of chicken results in greater surface area of the chicken getting coated in breading and making contact with the frying oil.

I'm going to guess that it was just a matter of Sysco switching product lines or something like that.

We were at Epcot on 2/17 and MGM on 2/18, and both parks had converted to the nuggets.

The nuggets at MGM looked like the kids version.

Here's a tip for you chicken strip lovers...mix equal parts mayo and the dijon honey mustard sauce they give you for a YUMMY (almost EXACTLY like Palo on the cruise) dipping sauce! It's even good on fries...

If the chicken nuggets are the same as the strips then I don't see what he big deal is, I THOUGHT when it says nuggets I was thinking the yucky meat, As long as it is the real meat to me it all the same.

Likewise. I read somewhere that they're being baked instead of fried which is where I think the commotion started.
