Well after 13 years my house is finally free of Barney the dinosaur.
While cleaning my son's room today all the Barney stuff was packed up because he says he's a big boy now. (almost 4) I have had every barney thing made around since my oldest son was born 13 years ago and it kept going with my other 3 boys till today. Kind of feels weird though. Has anyone else had things that were around and now all of a sudden gone?

Kinda reminds me of the curious george thing I went through. I had about a million stuffed georges, bed sheets, wallpaper...yep the works. Then I decided I wanted pink frilly so, everything was gone...and i remember being really sad that day and forcing my parents to let me keep one george who proudly sits on my bed everyday!!

Oh, my goodness. I thought you were going to say they were going to quit shooting Barney episodes. I would be disappointed to hear that. I can still get my 3 and 4 year olds to watch when their brothers are in school.

You know it's funny, but before I had kids, I HATED Barney. I remember saying that I hoped that Barney was off the air whenever I had kids, but after having children, I LOVE Barney. He teaches such positive values and is one of the few truly child-safe programs out there.

I kind of felt sad when DS was finally potty trained and DH and I went to the store and realized we didn't need to go down the diaper/baby food aisle anymore after 9 years!

9 years! Kind of potty trained a little late, didn't he?

I was so happy when my daughter quit watching Barny, then after a few months I kind of missed it. Now she hardly wants to see Disney movies, ahhhh time marches on:(

we are Barney-free also.

my one son actually gets angry when I do my fairly accurate Barney voice.
Oh well.. i was going to start doing birthday parties to pay for DCL trips, but eh.
