Just purchased my PAP's! Could care less about the discount on 'stuff'.
I've been housecleaning and I've got to get rid of all this 'stuff'!
Yes, a lot of Disney stuff....clogging up my closets.
Too many pins!
A couple of those
DVC watches that came in the little suitcase box that were limited edition. One not worn at all....sad...they were over $100 each. Don't remember the exact cost but when I bought them I was pretty much willing to give an arm and a leg - big grin smiley here!
The $198 sketch Dooney purse....I carried it for quite a while and got loads of compliments --but I'm on to something else.
There is obviously quite a bit more, too much to list.
But I don't buy like I used to. I just enjoy the resorts and parks as often as I can. I've got my Mickey camera bag - the one the cast member at Hollywood Studios had to get a step ladder to get down off the display for me because it was the last one like it. So, photo pass - we usually pass you on by....
Dining discounts - we've done the dining plans - all except the high end one - there is no way I would ever survive more then a day on that one! Too much food and pressure to do it all and 'get my money's worth'. It's more important to just enjoy my trip, eat what I want whenever (still can't get an ADR at BOG) then to spend my days calculating to the last penny what my 'savings' are.
The premium annual is just a no brainer - it should not disappoint anyone. For us two trips in a year justify it. The price of 10 day hoppers no expiry is through the roof so to speak - is that inflation or just Disney's response to the popularity of their product? Hopper no expiry over $700 - 5 days each trip $350+. PAP - unlimited days in two trips $225. The regular discounted annual is also a great deal over 2 trips - just a few dollars more.
So Disney has not disappointed me. Nor do I feel gouged. I'm living the good life - vacation to Disney on my DVC at least 2 possibly 3 times in one year with a reasonable ticket cost. Even a reasonable food cost because I know what I like and I know how to use my DVC kitchen to manage the expense and still have some fun dining out Disney style.
