No monorail to resorts for MK extra hours?

Is it true that the monorail stops at one hour after regular MK closing time even though one of the big reasons Disney gives to stay on site is to go to extra hours and to stay at Poly/Contemporary/GF is the ability to take the monorail?

And does this mean that they only start 1 hour before regular opening hours so MK resort users can not use monorail to get to MK before start of AM magic hours?

I have to use an ECV - can they be used on the boats? How long do they run? Is bus service to these resorts well scheduled during and right after extra hours? Thanks for any help.

If the monorails aren't running there will be bus or boat service for those resorts.

Usually those are the hours. Might be exceptions on "special" nights.

No I think the resort monorails start running at 7AM. Not sure about Express monorail or monorail to/from TTC/Epcot.

The ECV wil not be able to be used on boat that goes to GF/Poly. Not sure about the Ferry to the TTC from the MK. And there will be buses running at night for sure back to the GF/Poly during the EMH. Not sure of Contemporary since it is a "walkable' resort.

No problem. I am not an expert, and not have any experience with ECV at WDW do defitnitely talk to the Cast Members when you are there to get the true information.

On EMH or party nights, last I heard the express monorail stops one hour after regular closing but the resort monorail keeps running until later.

In our visit to in March 2013, Monorail 1 hour after EMH but I would call Disney to confirm

In our visit in August 2012, on an EMH in WDW, the resort monorail was not running even though the park was still open (but more than 1 hour past regular closing time. It was not broken. Options back to Gf were boat or bus.

There does not seem to be a consensus with the responses so will probably wait till I am there but it is nice to be able to plan ahead. thanks all
