No Memory Maker - will PP Photog and CM Handler both take pics?

Next year will be my first solo trip without Memory Maker. On my recent trips, I've had MM, and the Photopass Photographer has taken pics with his/her camera while the CM handler has taken pics with my camera or phone.

If I don't have MM at all - would it be ok to ask the Photopass photographer to take pics with my camera AND the CM Handler to take pics with my phone, all at the same time? I know I CAN ask, but would it be awkward? Would the PP person make me feel bad? I guess I feel guilty not having PP (I know, that's silly).

In my experience the PP photographers usually only take pictures with their camera if there is a handler present also. On the occasions where there wasn't a handler I found that the PP photographers might snap one or two shots with my camera after taking pictures with theirs. You do not need MM to have pictures taken but ultimately they want you to purchase the PP photos so the photographers for the most part will take several shots with their camera before any pictures are shot using personal cameras. As always it doesn't hurt to ask but don't be surprised if they only let the handlers shoot with your camera & phone.

That's what I thought might be the case. The PP photogs still have the old-fashioned Photopass cards, right? So they could take pics with their camera and scan/give me a card that I could use with other photographers? Then after the fact I'd have to decide if I wanted to spend any money on individual pictures?

Yes. Or if u have a Magic Band they can scan that and when you log into your MDE account you can see the pics.
