No Matterhorn?

I heard that the Matterhorn was closed this December. Whats the deal with that!??! I wanted to ride that soo bad! What else am i going to be missing out on when i go this december. I am very angry at this. I cant believe it. No fantasmic either.

The Matterhorn is having an extensive overhaul. The wood inside had very bad wood rot and they are practically replacing the entire inside as well as making the track area wider so the guest can no longer reach their hands out and touch the walls. Maybe if guests would mind their manners and listen to the safety instructions of keeping arms inside the cars, some of these remodels wouldn't be necessary, but as we all know some people leave common sence at the gate.

F! is down due to all the other holiday activities and they will be draining the River it was performed on early January to make repairs to the tracks for the sailing ships.

All these repairs are necessary and long over due. With the 50th coming up, they are trying to get the park in shape for a fun celebration. While it is upseting to have a ride closed or some entertainment not running during your vacation, Disneyland is so much more than just rides/entertainment. And there is always plenty to do there.

Current word is supposed to be around Jan 11th, though it's being rumored that the date is being pushed into February now.

I guess what ill have to do is scale the mountain and take lots of pictures on the inside....

Is it ugly right now or is the work all on the inside. I mean are there brown tarps and pardon our dust stuff everywhere?

To be honest, Tink -- the "official" refub list is junk. It's inaccurate more often than it's accurate

The guy posting that thread is a CM (he won't say where) who gets his information from the official CM list instead of the webpage. It's much more accurate.
