No magic bands?

Since FP+ and Magic bands, we've never not used the magic bands, but we are staying at the Swan this summer, so it's not a given, and we have 4 days in the parks before a cruise. Is it a big deal not to have the magic bands when it comes to Fast passes? I was fine with the old way to get fp's, but that was the old insert your ticket and get a paper fp. Now how does it work to use FP's that you schedule ahead of time? Are they linked to your ticket now since you don't have paper fp's? Do you just have to pull each persons ticket out at each ride to scan? I hate the thought of this, but is it a big deal? Do you all think it's worth the money to buy magic bands just for the fp's?

Since you've used them before, do you still have them? Use an old one. You can still get FP+ 30 days out in your MDE, then use either the admission card you'll have or an old mb.

Only thing you can't access with the mb is room charging because you're not at a Disney resort.

I am a newbie to all things Magic Band, but from what I've read, can't you put your ticket info on an old Magic Band?

Bumbershoot beat me to it. You can use an old MB, buy a new one, or even use your ticket (they are supposed to also have the RFID in them too).

Yes, along with reservations for the Dolphin. Just need to manually link the reservation to MDE.

Everything is linked via your MDE - add your Swan reservation number by following the add reservation link and you will be eligible to book your FP+ at 60 days just like you did when you stayed onsite - if you have tickets. If you don't already have tickets you can add them as well by using the add ticket link prior to the 60 day window.

Then you can use either your old mb's or your tickets to access your pre booked FP+ at the tapstyle just like when you were onsite. Alternately you can just tap your admission ticket instead.

You won't be able to use the MB for purchases or room access of course so its up to you which to use- I use my ticket my kids prefer the MB's! Personally I would not purchase MB's just to use for admission and fast pass.

I would just use the tickets if you don't have the bands. And for future onsite stays, keep the bands to use in the future since you like them.
