no magic bands, but what instead?

Is there any reason to bring my WDW magic bands to DL? What about our cards?

I think DL doesn't use magic bands, but since they don't... do I need to carry multiple things? Or at check in, will they give me a card that works as a key to my room? Is that also the park ticket? Or can I do it all in the app with out a physical roomkey/parkticket?

Thanks.

Disneyland does not use MagicBands yet, tickets, mobile ordering, G+ & LL, etc are all done through your phone so make sure your Disneyland App is up to date and there is a separate DL app from the WDW one, make sure you're using the correct one!

Hotel check in/out and access to your room can be done through your phone too. Not sure if you can charge park purchases to your hotel reservation.

You can use the app for everything. Your tickets in the app will have a scannable barcode, the resort has Mobile Key available, which also functions as room charge. If you want a physical room key card, they will give you one (be aware it's super generic and just has your hotel name on it, no personalization). When you first scan into a park, they will issue you a paper ticket, but you don't ever actually need it. You use the phone to redeem Genie+ selections via a barcode in the app that appears when your time has arrived to ride.

WDW Magic Bands do nothing at Disneyland.

The app can do it all. We do prefer tho to take the paper ticket and put it in a lanyard. We find that easier to scan then the phone.

Disney has said magic bands are coming to Disneyland in 2022, but we have not heard anything else about it.

We have not stayed on site yet, but something I am curious about is that the phone can be used as a mobile key, but when early entry starts August 8th, the website says you need to be able to show your hotel key. I don't know if just having the mobile will be enough?

It is. The mobile key screen only shows up when you are actively staying at a resort. You have to click "unlock door" to get it to come up, and I imagine you would simply need to show it to gain entry same as you do now to get through the security gate at GCH or into DCA from GCH in the mornings.

Ohhhh! Okay! We have never stayed on site at DLR so I wasn't sure! I bet it looks similar to how it looks when staying at WDW

If you check my most recent post they accidentally had some magic band+ for sale at Disneyland at the world of Disney store. I was able to buy one too before they were pulled from the shelves. Apparently they have a bunch in back stock now but are not for sale yet. I was hoping this points to a possible announcement soon for magic band+ for us at Disneyland or maybe it’s related to the new pass system they are going to announce for Disneyland
Your posts have gone from claiming they'd been spotted at World of Disney in downtown Disney, to admitting you'd merely pulled information and images about it from Reddit and Facebook, with no one providing proof of having purchased one, to now claiming you actually purchased a magic band before they were pulled from the shelves.

At this point it's beginning to feel like you are intentionally being false and misleading. Speculation is one thing, but it makes no sense to continue to share false information as fact when others have already pointed out there is no evidence to back it up.

Oh, so now you bought one? Post a photo with it on your wrist.

I know this happened at Disney World a few months ago but I haven’t heard about them accidentally going on sale at Disneyland.

The user has made multiple threads and comments the last few days across Disboards (and other social media websites) with ever changing stories even after being called out there's no proof and that there's a good chance the DLR MB+ on eBay is stolen.

They didn't buy one themselves. They didn't see it at the parks. Every time they're called out they admit they saw it on eBay and claim that as their source (and that "source" says that "a friend" bought it at "the resort").

User is just playing a game at this point and is in no way sincere. They're just trying to cause trouble :confused3
