I never get my magazine or my book for points but you betcha my annual dues showed up in the mail today.

I sure do wish I could get something from DVC that makes me feel good, or excited about Disney. MF just aren't doing it.

Be glad that at least those show up... instead of no bill and foreclosure paperwork!!!

It must have something to do with international postage.

My wife and I are new members (only about 2 month old members) and we didn't get anything either. I thought maybe it was that they didn't have our address or something in the system correctly....but low and behold, our MF bill showed up promptly. I called MS and they are sending out the magazine and resort book we never received. Hopefully this is a one time thing. We'll see.

To the OP, it may be the overseas address. One thing to check though is the preferences in your online profile.

From the member web site, select "My Membership" from the top menu, then "My Profile" from the dropdown menu. On the page that loads, select "Update Contact Preferences." Make sure the next page has both a mailing address and an email address, and that "Permission to contact" is set to "Yes" for both.

We've been members since 2009 and have received 1 Disney Files magazine and 1 point book. Yet the dues bill shows up every year

We do get the Disney Files magazine but sadly everything in it is old news. Being on the internet and Disney sites we get all the news instantly. Makes the magazine feel like such a waste......our MFs are paying for it and the postage.

Points book is also redundant. Point calculators are easier to use on the computer. I use David's Disney Vacation Club Calculator. http://www.dvcrequest.com/PointsCalcNew/PointsCalc.asp

It's accurate and does all the work for you....;)

Bottom line is you aren't really missing anything special.

Minnie have you ever reached out to customer service? They really should see to it that you get the book and the magazine. Postage fees notwithstanding, that's lame that they don't provide the materials to international guests. :earsboy:

I'm an international DVC member and have received all sorts through the post including magazines and books. One thing I do get annoyed at is not being able to enter any of the DVC comps as they are only valid to those living in the States.

Mailings may be restricted due to timeshare sales laws in your country. To verify, send an email to member satisfaction and ask them to verify your restrictions with the compliance team.
