No lunch times available for Le Cellier in Jan 2013??

Ok my reservation window opened today and there are absolutely no Le Cellier lunch times available for our entire stay! What's up with that?? I am hoping the 2 TS rumor is the reason, that hopefully it isn't true or that it's being reconsidered. Any thoughts? I may just forgo Le Cellier instead of wasting 2 TS, even though we really love it there

In January of this year we didn't make LeCellier lunch reservations and had no problem as a walk-in.

I can't say what the deal is for January, but I know that the Candlelight Processional is the problem in December. They only set aside reservations from 1pm onward that weren't for the CP, so you basically have everyone trying to get the ones from 1-(I think)2pm. If you want the package you can get a res, but it's 2 TS credits.

I have just read on another site that in 2013 the Le Cellier lunch will be 2 credits. I had read this also on the Dis a couple of months ago. A CM stated the change was coming.

When LC became 2 credits for dinner, the system didn't allow anybody to book ADRs online and the explaination given was that they wanted to make sure anybody booking was told about the 2 credit cost. Since it looks as though lunch is now going to be 2 credits, they may be doing the same thing. I'd try calling to see if it can be booked by phone.

some friends have a lunch reservation for December 20, so it's likely that for December they are just sold out. Candlelight Processional does take up some of that space for the packages.

Disney hasn't yet made any public announcements about signature at lunch for 2013. All that information is because it appears in the first printing of the 2013 brochure, but there's been no other announcements from Disney itself. If they are trying to make sure guests are aware it's going to be 2 credits before they book, they should be making a public announcement.

I spoke to AKL IPO last night, and apparently through their internal mail info., from the 2013 dining plan brochure, lunch at Le Cellier is going to be 2 credits

Don't give up!! I tried to get Le Cellier at the 180 day window for my upcoming trip in late Nov. NOTHING was available, no lunch, no dinner. Just the other night I was on the site and I put in the date we were looking for a dinner but didn't specify restaurant and figured I would peruse the list that popped up. Well, there it was LE CELLIER!! I was like this I grabbed that reservation immediately!!

Then, I did the same thing for another night and it showed up again with all 3 times near my requested time! 3 available reservations at Le Cellier on the same night!

So, don't give up hope. People book them up but then rethink things or plans fall through and they cancel. Just keep checking periodically!!!

I was able to book online. But maybe because it was for 2012 and not 2013??

That makes sense. They're probably withholding reservations until someone can post an announcement on the Disney Parks Blog about this exciting development for Walt Disney World dining.

Come to think of it, a lot of people have been critical of the rumor that LC will become signature for lunch as well. Will this force Disney to step things up there, and perhaps we'll actually see some notable changes to the lunch menu? Or does Disney expect the restaurant to remain insanely popular (meaning the menu won't have to change that much)? I'm interested in seeing what happens...

If it was a dining CM over the phone...

it's not worth much, sorry. Perhaps around the level of bus driver information (when not talking about the buses, which they are VERY knowledgeable and non-wacky rumor about...in my experience...that one time...at band camp).

They're likely getting the same information we all are, and that's one line in the 2013 DDP brochures. (Even the internal memo mentioned above sourced that line).

Of course, not saying it isn't true (in fact, I'm thinking it'll most likely be true), just need to keep the proper information flowing . And I totally agree with Donald above that it should be "interesting" to see how they do it.

Talked to a CM two days ago and every day since. Currently there are only 2 reservations for the day I am trying to book lunch for but the system is not accepting any more at this time. I asked if they were 2 groups of like 32 people and the CM laughed and said it was not. She said it was likely due to the change and to keep calling back every day till they open back up.

I'm a little frustrated with trying to book on line. Today is our 180 day mark. I tried to book our dining for the entire stay which is only three nights and the site would only allow me to book the first day. I even tried to confirm my reservation number. I had to call to book the remaining times and even then I was not able to get La Hacienda for lunch one day. The agent stated that it was not loaded and I would have to check back tomorrow. On a positive note, I was able to get Le Cellier for dinner.

I guess it will be easier to get lunch after this change. That's what happened for dinner after the change and everyone went to lunch. Now if lunch and dinner are 2TS, most folks will choose dinner over lunch because of the portion size difference. Since we are TiW cardholders, the change in TS credits makes no difference to me. I just like lunch choices better.

Hacienda isn't open for lunch, only dinner.

There's whispers (far less substantial than the switch to 2TS rumors though) that if LC were to go 2TS for lunch, that the menu would also likely change. Either use the current dinner menu for lunch as well (along with increasing portion size) such as HBD, or scrap both and start "new" (by "new" I mean keep the old standbys on there, but change up some of the less popular items). Obviously, that's just rumor, speculation, conjecture, etc though, so take it with a grain or 2 of salt...with some lime...and a margarita. (In other words, just keep your eyes open when Disney announces)
