No luggage tags from Disney?

We booked our upcoming May 7th cruise last minute. I'm not sure that we are going to get our Disney cruise luggage tags and other documents that usually come in the mail before we actually leave home to fly to Florida. Has anyone ever had this happen? When we get to the terminal we usually let the porters take our luggage as they have the tags on them with our room number. Do we take our luggage inside the terminal with us?

You didn't get the spiral bound little packet of info? Did you book through a TA who perhaps didn't send it on? Did someone else in the family get the mail about a month ago and not show you?

But yes porters can make up the tags. And yes you need to know your room number. I personally like to have a printed confirmation to show porters so that no one says it or hears it backwards.

Original poster said it was a last minute booking, so maybe no time to get the booklet out before they leave for FL.

This is correct (from personal experience). The porter will fill out the tag for you, you just need your stateroom number.

I've forgotten my tags a couple of times. Never a problem as long as you remember your cabin number!

Yes, we've not had enough tags at check in and the porters helped us. Very quick and efficient. I forget that Disney doesn't let you print them like other cruise lines.

Note: we bought these last year http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Lugga...83259&sr=8-5&keywords=cruise+ship+tag+holders -- keeps them from getting wet or ripping. No more tape or staples!

How soon before a departure date does the luggage tags usually arrive? We are cruising on June 24, but we are leaving for vacation on June 16, I am hoping they will be here before we leave.

The booklet typically arrives 30-45 days ahead.
