No longer replenishing coffee?

Has anyone else noticed that they are no longer replenishing coffee when they take out the trash? And that the amount of coffee supplies is not enough for 4 days (between towel/refresh)?

Maybe I was just always lucky before, but Mousekeeping used to refresh my coffee station when taking out the trash, and this happened for many years at many different WDW DVC resorts. Now, they no longer do so, and there's never enough supplies to last one person for 4 days.

Now, I've started keeping coffee supplies in my owner's locker for just this reason, but I miss the days when I didn't have to.

I'm at Hilton Head right now, and was hoping that they would replenish regularly - but when we checked in, there were only 2 things of coffee, and they weren't replenished with the daily trash removal. I went and bought my own coffee supplies just because I don't want to have to spend time getting Disney to do it for me, but it just feels like yet another one of those little touches Disney has lost these days.

Coffee is not a paid extra anymore, so you should be able to call Mousekeeping and request more.

Was just at Beach Club and they did replenish it. Maybe it's the individual working?

We just ask politely when we see Mousekeeping in the hallway and they happily provide more (most recently in March at BLT).

Always bring my own coffee. Don't care for the stuff in the rooms as it is usually too weak for my tastes and often stale as well. I have a K-Cup machine in my Owner's Locker and I bring some good ground coffee as well.

You mentioned that you're at Hilton Head. Last year, when we were there, we called Housekeeping and they came right away-with ONE coffee packet. Um, it would be nice if they'd brought two or three.
They've never replenished our coffee, and DH usually brings his own-just so happened that we'd run out at HHI.

FWIW the anniversary stuff is new and pretty darned good. It's not enough for a FULL 8 cup carafe of coffee, but it can make 4 normal cups.

When we checked into CCV in March there was only 1 coffee packet so I called housekeeping right away and specifically asked for 6 more since I knew that's how many we needed for our entire stay and they brought them up very quickly along with creamers and sugar!

I think this has more to do with the individuals who service the rooms than anything else. Looking back on my trips this has been about 50 / 50 if coffee is replaced with trash or not. However no one has ever said no when asking for more.

I have never had them replaced because we never stay enough nights for official trash and towel service.

But, I do call mouse keeping when we arrive to get more based on what I know I want/need and they bring them to me.

I guess maybe I always got lucky before. Pre-Covid, I always got my coffee refreshed when they took out trash - I’d come back to the room in the evening and find it done! But since Covid, I’ve never had my coffee refilled, even on towel days, without either asking Mousekeeping if I see them, or calling to ask for it.

I know it’s easy to call, but I hate talking on a phone. It’s a weird hang up, I know. It’s just less anxiety-inducing for me to just bring my own (which I now do). Also, I feel like I’m inconveniencing Mousekeeping who have a million rooms to clean to call and ask for a special delivery to my room. I know it’s part of their job but I feel like a bother, lol. But I do really like that anniversary blend!

I asked for more at BLT a couple weeks ago and I got 4 at the front desk, and housekeeping brought 4 more.

Caveat: the new 50th designs look THE SAME for caffeinated and decaf, except the decaf has the word "decaf" on the front. I ended up with 0 caffeinated pouches and 8 decaf pouches.

Was at HH Nov 2021, Jan and March 2022, and at Poly April 2022 and had coffee replenished each time.

At HH I was asked if I needed anything when they came. I've been requesting one pack for each night/morning of my stay, as that's what I'm going to use.

In 25 years we've only ever had our coffee automatically replenished on full cleaning and trash & tidy days, never with the daily trash removal. However, in recent years since it's provided free of charge, I just pick up the phone and ask for as much as we'll need for the entire stay. Never a problem.

We were at SSR last month and I grabbed the two packets of 50th Anniversary coffee as souvenirs (I don't mind the regular Joffrey's roast, but the dark roast they are offering for the 50th is almost undrinkable). When we came back on towel day, the coffee was replenished. We have coffee in our owners locker so I don't usually drink the stuff supplied even when it is the regular Joffrey's.
