No longer on DDP, do I have to modify my reservations?

I just got a great AP rate for CSR. Previously I had a bounceback stay booked but by using the AP code I saved $650 over the rate I had with free dining. Since it's a solo trip for me I and I have the DDE card I figured I could eat pretty well for $65.00 a day and it would even open me up to eating at more signature restaurants if I want to.

Right now I have a lot of ADRs booked including the Luau. When I booked those reservations they asked me if I was on the DDP so do I have to call back and let them know I'm no longer on the DDP? I suspect the answer will be I can leave all of the ADRs untouched except for the Luau but I'd like to hear if you guys have had experience with this.

No Bill - you're fine. It doesn't matter if you're on the meal plan or not for you ADR. As a matter of fact - I am a DVC member and I just made my ADRs last week, while they did ask I told them not yet but I do plan to be. It shouldn't make a bit of difference to Disney. As far as the Luau - you probably gave a credit card for penalty purposes anyway and can cancel it up to 48 hours out without penalty or go and have you fill of poi. Enjoy your solo trip.

Thanks. :)

I did give them a credit card number for the Luau so it looks like I'm covered.

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of discount did you get with the AP? My husband and I have reservations with free dining at CSR, but I'm debating changing the reservation and purchasing an annual pass. Understandably it might be too late. Just curious....

My dates are 8/30-9/9 and I got a $94.00 rate per night, $1057.00 for the 10 nights after taxes. The free dining for those nights including a 1 day ticket was $1701.00 for the 10 nights. For me it was a savings of about $65 per day and I figured I'd be getting about $45 to $60(that's how much I would have paid OOP using the DDE card) per day of food on the DDP. So it was a small savings but that small savings lets me be much more flexible with my plans and I won't feel obligated to eat dessert with every meal. :)

With 2 people it becomes tougher to give up free dining for the AP discount on the room.
