No Little Girls - Should we still do CRT?

One of my favorite memories of our 2004 trip was an early breakfast at CRT on our last morning. Dining at the castle was the perfect way to end our trip; the CM who took care of us was absolutely fantastic; the food was delicious; it was truly magical. I think about it often (because I'm the Disney nut in our family) and am considering doing it again in July. The rub is that I don't have a "little" girl anymore (she'll be 13) and my DS, who will be 10, is not particularly interested in dining with princesses, although he doesn't object, either. DH just wants me to be happy, so it doesn't matter to him. What do you think? Should we do it again, or should I stick with the wonderful memory I have and find somewhere else to have breakfast?

You will always have a little girl and be a little girl (so says my Mom). DH wants you to be happy and DS will find eating in the castle kind of cool. Go and enjoy.

Maybe you should do the dinner in the castle. The princesses aren't there for that. You meet Cinderella in the entry for pictures and then head upstairs. The godmother and mice come out and do a little song but don't come table to table. Food was good. Girls are given a wand and boys a sword so my kids thought that was cool.

Last year we were only able to get into the dinner. My dd was 5 and ds was 8. They just thought it was so cool to eat in the castle. We did do the Norway princess breakfast so we did see the princesses so didn't feel cheated at CRT. I think my DS enjoyed it most of all.

DW and I have done CSR several times for dinner and breakfast without little girls !!!! By the way, we're both in our 50's and I'd be up for it at any time!!!!!

YES! Go for it! DH and I did this on our honeymoon, so obviously, no kiddos at all! The food is good (not the best in WDW, but good), but the atmosphere is something you have to experience at least once!!

PS: Just got back from a trip with 5 adults...our favorite meal?...Garden Grill with Chip and Dale. We had the best time with those characters!

Exactly! I don't have any girls and this is on my must do for the next trip. Mommies can be princesses for a night too!

My two little boys loved it! I also appreciate how the restaurant incorporated swords for the boys into the wishing star "show".

Just wasn't thrilled when the waiter handed my terrible two year old a sword the moment we sat down, DS2 started hacking the muffin basket!

I agree with PP as long as hubby and family are neutral, go for it.

I have a pretty easy going family too. My kids will go anywhere because we all choose a restaurant that we really want to eat at.

I'm 19 and I love it too!! Haha! My little sister (12) also loves it still. But we do the dinner instead (we aren't morning people to say the least, so to have to get up EXTRA early to eat bk isn't reasonable). I say go for it b/c eating in Cinderalla's castle is magical in the first place!!

I went for the first time in 2007 with my 17 year old daughter. We bought her a princess sash to wear (since she considers herself a princess all the time anyway!) and she had her picture taken with all of the princesses there! We actually left the boys (my husband and my 17 year old son) back at the room sleeping in. When we left the Castle we got on a couple of rides because it was just 9 a.m. and no one had made it to Fantasy Land yet. We then went to the MK Bakery and bought some 'breakfast' for the boys, hopped on the boat and went back to the WL and got them up. It was a wonderful morning for the two of us. Of course this year when we go, she has already insisted that we get reservations as we are taking my 6 yo niece with us.

Yes, definitely! We went when DS was 9 and he definitely wasn't thrilled with the thought of the princesses (except Jasmine who in his words at the time was "hot" ). He knew Mom wanted to eat in the castle so he was fine with going. Well, he ended up having a great time even though he may not admit it today. Snow White sat and talked to him about flying. Aurora left lipstick on his cheek that made Cinderella jealous. It was a riot. A very fond memory for Mom for sure!
