At the GF, your only option - if you don't want to have to exit the main building to get to your room - is Club Level. So location is a bonus there. But if you're paying for location, you're really paying for the room, not the service. I see it more as a room increase, much like Water View. But it is, IMO, a better location. For folks who are just too busy to research and call for ADRs and such, they can just have a TA do it for them for free.
Some folks like the room location for club level and that is a plus. At Poly, I much prefer Tokelau or Tahiti for the room size, gauranteed balcony/patio, and location.![]()
At the Beach Club, you get a full balcony instead of a mini-can't-open-the-door one. So, that's a plus for Club Level. And the main reason I haven't been back to the BC since I quit the whole Club Level thing.
At the AKL, you can't get a guarantee of having a Savannah View if you want Club Level, so in that case Club Level would totally work against me.
At the Poly, I agree with you that Hawaii doesn't have the best view. I prefer Tuvalu, then Tahiti. Tuvalu used to be a smoking building. I think once the non-smokers find out what they've been missing that Tuvalu will turn into the most-requested building at that resort.
At the other hotels, I can't think of an instance where it makes any difference at all.
