no jeans...

My husband will be glad to hear that. He doesn't even own a pair of dress pants(that fit right). Yes you pay alot of money and want to dress up, but he payed alot of money and dreads dressing up. Never cruised before so I don't see why dressing up or not dressing up is a big deal. :teeth:

On the 3 and 4 day cruises there is one night where "dress-up" attire is requested. Men are asked to wear a jacket while ladies are asked to wear either a dress or nice pantsuit. (taken from news release)

Would this be Tritons ??

bumping because I am still wondering if someone has something official disney that says this. I leave Friday for my Saturday Cruise.

ptc mom,
Check out webmaster regina's previous post on the first page of the thread and she gives the dcl report from the dis.

I just posted a question on the live thread so hopefully we will find out what is actually on the navigators on the Magic now.

I read her post and looked at the website. And then I went to Disney's website and looked at my documents and both say Jeans are not recommended attire. That is why I was wondering where this info came from. I am new here so what is *DCL report from *DIS*? Disney cruise line report from where?

I also should say, I am leaving Friday for my cruise and was hoping to find out for sure on the new jean policy before then. This will make a difference on whether or not my boys wear jeans once or twice to eat. I would hate to assume it is new policy and come to find out, we were just the rebels instead. :cool1:

so if they are "allowing" jeans for attire...to get more casual for dinning, i hope that doesn't mean dinning options will go more casual! :flower:

I was told that you will be able to confirm this information with Disney tomorrow. Apparently it hasn't been released systemwide yet. :)

My DH will definitely be a happy camper about this also. His "dress pants" are only for funerals in his mind. I think he actually looks neater in jeans than dress slacks since he can never find the slacks to fit right. He will definintely be happier the next time we cruise to wear jeans to dinner more often and dress up for formal, semiformal and Palos.
