No Interest in HHN

Same here. Not interested in the slightest & really wish we didn't have to plan around it. We're going to UOR in September because it's the only week our work schedules jived this year, but won't be doing HHN. I didn't even like Halloween as a child. I do like horror movies. Guess I'm missing the Halloween gene, lol!

Am I the only one who has no interest in HHN when I visit Universal? Don’t get me wrong. I don’t begrudge others their fun. I’m just not into horror or jump scares or creepy houses. I was just wondering if I’m alone in this.
From what i’ve Read, you are not alone It’s a nice add on event for some, others plan trips around it and only do the event vs the parks during the day.

This I understand, would be difficult to work around if it was the only time frame you have.

That said, I do scratch my head when posters that don’t preface posts with that info complain as to how HHN cuts into their time in the parks. It’s a known event that should quickly come up on a person’s radar when beginning to plan a trip, same as crowds/inconveniences that come with marathons & large group events in WDW.

This is our first onsite visit & we're there for 4 nights/5 days. With most everything being so new for us, I'm not expecting to do it all this first time, for sure, and we should have plenty of time to just enjoy the new experiences. Checking in 6 weeks from today 😊!

Besides, I'll just tuck "seeing the Cinematic Spectacular & USO at night" in my back pocket of things to do on our NEXT trip 😉!

I thought I was not interested in HHN as well - and now I regret that - I was at Universal going back to the early years of HHN and always skipped it thinking it was not something I would like.

I decided to check it out for something to do one night when I was only a solo trip and now I go every year specifically for HHN and attend about 7 nights

It's not my jam at all. We do not enjoy horror movies in the slightest and being chased around by chainsaw wielding actors and other jump scares just isn't for us. I kind of do wish I liked it more but I also wish I liked coffee, wine and salad and still I find them gross.

I don't love the idea of jump scares, etc. However, I think I would have fun with doing maybe one or two houses and with the atmosphere in general (anymore would probably just make me anxious). However, it is expensive and we have young kids. It would be a fun date night (or date weekend) if we lived within a 2-3 hour drive, but for our family vacations, I will avoid it.
